Just got a new Ram ProMaster 3500 and it does not fit through the car wash (9' 3" tall). Just started learning about detailing (huge vehicle to wash and wax). A lot of great information here. I really want to get that red paint to pop!

Welcome Bob! I used to live in Highland in the Porte de L'eau apartments. That was many years ago though.
 
Used to live in Highland and Hammond.... Clay bar... My dad worked the mill and clays his every year..

My recommendation coat it and learn to do no rinse.
I detail this beast for a customer, I feel your pain, haha.

On my 2014 ram 2500 Laramie, I use a brush on a long handle to get the roof, rear and front windshield, and the tonneau cover. I was using a scaffold to reach them by hand, but the brush is much easier.

I'm planning to opticoat the roof before winter, so hopefully it will be easier to clean and dry.
