Hi I have a corolla with black and ash or ivory interior can't remember which lol. But I can't seem to get the top of the dash to get shiny when using armor all wipes the rest of the car interior door panels and everything I can but not the dash for some reason btw it's black can anyone help me figure out why it seems like the dash is just sucking in the protectant and staying gray and not black?

I would use something like Sonax dash cleaner or 303. You never want a shiny dash every very unsafe. Your dash didn't come shiny for a reason and should leave it matt.

lol I've always used there wipes I like to keep my car inside and out clean and protected and it frustrates me that the dash doesn't get shiny and seem protected like the rest of the interior

I don't want it super shiny just want it black like the rest of the interior not gray

Try Chemical Guy's Silk Shine. It keeps my dash dark, black, and protected for months.

Ummm...Auto Geek sells it. Even have 20% off today

Okay thanks how long does it last and how well does it work compared to armor all wipes?

Try Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant. It's Meg's longest lasting polymer based UV protection dressing for interiors. It can be pretty shiny too, you can dial in the shine you want by applying multiple layers. I like that more natural look, so I only put one coat on and let it dry and then went over it with a microfiber and the next day it looked really nice and had a natural sheen to it.

you want to use something other than a wipe.
A dressing will go into the pores of the dash and dwell. A wipe will
evaporate after a few minutes. Chemical guys will probably last 2-3 months, as opposed to armor all for 1-2 days.

Here is a picture of Silk Shine. It is the one on the right. Notice how dark it is, non-streaky it is on smooth surfaces, and it gives almost no shine making it perfect for the dash.

You want a high shine?
Apply three coats of Meguiar's Hyper Dressing, myself I don't like it to shine too much, just not for me but I tell you the Hyper is a product that makes rubber and plastics glow in the dark. Lol

OTC

Mother's VLR is somewhat shiny and as prev poster indicated, you can add layers of most of these products to get a greasier look

The VLR also does not attract dust

I've had good luck with Megs Natural Shine, not greasy or too shiny, just makes it look "fresh and new".

ok thanks for all y'alls suggestions I'll try the Meguiars products I've used there waxes and tire shine for years

As someone stated either Meguiar's ultimate protectant or supreme shine protectant. Be sure to use some APC or even Meguiar's quik interior detailer to remove the armor all off the dash.
