I have a tired back after the car wash and wax.

Am I over the hill? I feel too old for Detailing.

Sent from my SM-N900W8 using AG Online

Well your never too old or young for detailing thought may need to take a miniature break to give your back a rest from all of the excessive moving while your at it look into other wash medias etc to make your wash process less demanding, and or ways to help your back/body when detailing lastly don't be ashamed or afraid to sit down while you do lower parts of a vehicle

The question begging to be answered is: not how old do you feel but what year were you born in?

to the OP........some of us older folk do get tired....very quickly
but we carry on for passion.

It's all a state of mind!

Wait a minute...
Now I get it...I know who they are!!

Question, though:
But how did you ever get over their "hills"?
Or is that a trade secret? If so:
Please, I implore you, keep it to yourself.

I've got a bad back, bad knees, bad hip, and heart failure. I still wash and wax my vehicles but take a bunch of breaks. Rinseless washes really help now that I know about them. Takes a long time with breaks but I'm retired and got the time.

A stool really helps.

This is a great back saver! I have a stool that I use to wash the wheels and sides of the car. My suggestion is to do some stretching techniques before you start tackling a detail. I do and it works wonders. The stool helps tremendously too!

I am a dirty ol'man in my 50's and this is a way to help.

I agree!! :iagree:

I spread my xterra detail over 3 days a few weels back. A vacation afforded me that. To go out there and try to do it one day would have been insane.

After three heart attacks and a stroke my salvation is a four post lift.
And air conditioning.
No stooping over for me.
I just run the car up and down so it is always right in front of me. Plus it makes it really easy to change the fluids and keep the undercarriage clean.
