I have black Audis with clear bra on the front bumper, hood and front fenders. From time to time it dulls. I have waxed it in the past and due to white chaulky buildup from the wax after drying, I need to use painters tape at the seams of the clear bra to avoid the chaulk line.

I use NOVUS #1 to help protect and keep the clear bra shiny. I have used NOVUS #2, (Fine scratch remover), yet not sure if that is really intended to use as wax.

While at a Harley Dealer I saw a wax, S100 Paste Wax. It says it does not leave a chaulky residue behind.

Here's my question. Has anyone with a black car with clear bra found a wax that you can wax right to the edge of the clear bra and when it dries, it dries clear? Also, has anyone used the S100 Paste Wax?

Thanks, LGO838

I have xpel ultimate on my car. I use BF Midnight Sun paste wax, which is a wipe on wipe off wax. So, it doesn't dry before you wipe it off. For other (and good practice in general), non-WOWA waxes: wipe in straight lines and move from the clear bra down to the paint. That way, it won't build up against that edge. When you go to buff it off, either wipe the same way I described for applying, or wipe parallel to the seam. Do not wax or wipe "against" or "into" the seam.

Hope that helps

•I don't use Waxes on "clear bras"/Paint Ptotection Film (PPF).

•Sealants are clear bras'/PPF's best friend!
-I use these products:
