Evansville, Indiana - Cars Wanted for TV Show

It's time again to travel to Evansville, Indiana to shoot the next season of My Classic Car with Dennis Gage.

We're going to need about 4 cars for 12 segments. We'll be shooting Wednesday, October 15th and Thursday October 16th.

Here's some examples of how we use the cars.... no harm will ever come to them....

I was able to do this last year and it is a cool experience.
Unfortunately I'm already busy that week. We just finished up a 280SL that would have been great to see on TV.

Mike I hope you find as good of a selection as you did last year. That Ford truck was awesome

I sent this out to a few area enthusiasts and will let you know if I hear back.

Love this 1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye. I replied back to you and the owner and said "YES" we would love to have this car for the show!

I've got some feelers out as well... hope to have some feedback and pictures by the first of next week!

Not trying to hijack this thread... but Mike you would definitely look into going up to the Auburn, IN auto auction. Lots of classic cars.

There's been some changes to the car line up... I'll be sending out an e-mail to everyone in my Evansville E-mail List today to notify everyone of the changes.

Due to some changes in the segments we'll be filming next week we're only going to need two cars, one for Wednesday and one for Thursday and these are the cars that made the final cut.

This first car is a custom 1931 Ford Highboy built by Reisinger Customs.

Definitely click on the link above to the Reisinger website and check out all the pictures documenting this build. This is an award winning 1931 Ford High Boy that has been active in the show car circuit and as such the owner says the paint has light swirls from repeated wiping down and is ready for a good polishing. That makes it perfect for one of our segments plus a great fit for My Classic Car.

This 1973 Nova SS was obtained by my friend and forum member Eric aka EWtheDETAILER for the show,

I called and talked to Shawn the owner yesterday about his car and it's going to be a perfect match for the segments we're shooting on Thursday.

Out of the office and offline
Just to note, Bob, Darlene, Nick and I will be out of the office from Tuesday to Friday.

I know everyone will be busy during the week, but if you have time for dinner one evening, let me know.

We get into Evansville Tuesday and have to be bright eyed and bushy tailed both Wednesday and Thursday but at the end of the shoot on Thursday I'm sure Nick and I would be up for a dinner get-together somewhere in Evansville.

We're staying at the,

Hampton Inn – Airport
5701 US 41 North
Evansville, IN 47711

I know we're going out to dinner with My Classic Car on Wednesday night so Thursday is good to go...

:)

Sounds good; give me a buzz on Thursday and I'll meet you somewhere. Thanks!

I could be game for dinner Thursday night... keep me posted!

I'll send out an e-mail to my Evansville e-mail list to invite all my friends in the area to join us...

We're leaving for the airport tomorrow around 11:00am...

Going to have real limited time to answer e-mails, PM's and posts to the forum till we are back in the office next week.

•Here's hoping for a safe trip:
-The forcast is calling for some very bad storms in the Midwest tomorrow.

•I missed meeting Nick down at Elizabethtown; and:
-I'm only a couple hours drive from Evansville.
-My schedule<<<(LOL) looks to be unencumbered
for this Thursday...HMMM.

First day of filming over... sorry no pictures just too long of a day. Filmed 4 brand new segments today. Most people will never see all the work, time and set-up that goes on behind a TV show. Plus after a day of filming it's time for a good dinner then hit the hay.

We start filming 8 new segments tomorrow beginning at 8:00am and going till we finish.

did MP really just put his personal cell number on here? in 2014? No Thanks, Jeff.
