Boom! Menzerna raises the bar again!

I was thinking about some of the wool options for use with my 3401. For the moment I've just gone over to my megs mf pads. Which wool pads were the go to for the flex? Haven't had much a chance to look into it yet.

Next set of cloudy headlights I do will get an LC foamed wool with FG400 and the Flex. Been using M100 and right to Opti-Lens. Polishing didn't get any discernible difference. M100 and Meg's Xtra Cut took out 600 grit sanding marks on the last set I did with a little cloudiness. The wool pad cleared it up and got all the tight areas and angles without hand polishing. FG400 would probably work just as well on the wool. I think it might break down too fast on the Xtra Cut. Can always try it. Wish I would have thought about it when I did an SLK 500 headlight. Sanding with 600 grit was like sanding rusted rebar with rice paper.

I did a white SLK 320 recently with FG400/LC orange. M105 and MF cutting wouldn't touch some of the defects. The FG400 got about 75% and LSP ready. LC foamed wool and FG400 probably would have gotten me closer to 85-90% with a little haze. Some defects were to deep to try for perfection. Have to be careful on places like plastic bumpers. I wanted to polish with 4000 but the owner had to transfer before we could get it all done.

I might have a chance to try the foamed wool/FG400 soon on a bad looking GMC hood. Black paint, lots of water spots, and no gloss. It also has a rainbow streaky look in places like when wiping IPA off. Doesn't match the rest of the vehicle. Once I get some thickness readings I'll start light and see what works.

Looks like a new tool for me. Guess I'll be making a huge order for hybrid pads, like I don't have plenty of flat already. And the wife thought she'd get to upgrade appliances after the house fire. We don't need no whiz bang super food cooker when I can upgrade detailing equipment instead. She might have to start washing dishes with car shampoo and a foam gun too.

I would like to try the 3 in 1 and compare it to Meguiar's D301. I love the concept of the AIO product with a DA for home amateurs like myself, and this being a new offering, and from Mezerna, looks promising.

I would have to say that the new Menzerna PP Ultra would be the one to compare to as it is a very light AIO much the same way D301 is. Menzerna 3n1 would be more of a true AIO and comparable to D151.

When I get my hands on this stuff, I will compare it to the Meguiar's offerings. :xyxthumbs:

As per Todd Helme's chart on the aggressiveness of LC pad variations, the Hybrid wool pad is even more aggressive than a regular puple foamed wool pad.

I would imagine they will all be released here as thats a Menzerna "USA" graphic you posted.

I wonder what the endless shine spray will be all about considering Menzerna USA already offers a pretty potent quick detailer.

Im buffing out a black 1972 Nova today but I'll try to find the post where I described the jewelling feel and look when I get time.


Nice product. In my opinion, this is going to be a very good one-step product for anyone that wants to do high quality production detailing like I describe here,

Or a maintenance product for their own cars. Or as a last step machine applied polish that also seals the paint at the same time.

It's very nice product. If you like the SF 4000 or the SF 4500 you're going to love this product.

I'm close to buying a Rupes 21 from AG....is it worth waiting to see what the new Flex tool is before I pull the trigger on the Rupes since I'm in no rush?

OK, did not know that. Although, I wouldn't necessarily be doing a like for like comparison, but moreso to determine which product works better for my purposes. Similarly to how I had planned to eventually compare D151 to D301 even though I know they are not the same elvel of aggressiveness.

Even better, though. That means I would have two levels of AIO that I could use for when the paint needs very little correction (D301), and the Mezerna for when I need just a bit more, but not a compound or aggressive swirl remover. Nothing wrong with options!

And I will very much look forward to your comparisons.

Also, these were ordered from a German supplier so that's how I received them. I also live in Germany. Hopefully this stuff arrives in the U.S. Soon.

I'm hoping 300 cuts more and finishes as well as 400. I also hope we don't have to pay black market prices here in the USA.

Wow it did that much better than the M105 with a microfiber pad? Other than wool pads I had thought the MF pads would be more aggressive for defect removal but thats pretty cool you were able to do it with FG400 and Lake Country orange.

For the defects on that Mercedes at what speed were you using the flex 3401 and how many passes did you have to make with the FG400 and orange pad to make paint corrections?
