I just realized my first car I ever bought was black.... now here I am again.
So the rain let up and I HAD to wash the new car.
First impressions:
1. It's definitely bigger than the MINI... but still way smaller than those dang Mustangs
2. Tried a few "by hand" test spots of M205 on a few marks... the paint is VERY soft. I guess this is good in a way... but gotta make sure I don't go nuts.
Haven't even gotten out the DA or anything yet and he looks fantastic!

Thanks Monica. I know your going to enjoy it!
Monica, I used Menz 2500, 4500 when I first got mine home. I've used quite a few different sealant/wax combos over the past two years. My favorite is WG 3.0 or PBL Sealant with Black Ice on top. A 3oz pot of the Black Ice will go along way. It really takes the paint to another level of wetness.
This was a couple days after I got her back in April 2012 after polishing with that combo.
No sealant or wax applied yet.

Yeah, fortunately for me down here I don't have to deal with snow, salted roads etc. Plus this is my weekend ride, it just got rained on for the second time a couple weeks ago LOL, only 6,600 miles on it.
Congrats on the GC! I like your garage too, nice layout.
Monica,
as to break in... Dang girl just drive it like you stole it! After much research on bikes and motors,, the gentle break ins really do more harm than good. here is an interesting article for ya even if its on bikes,, a cylinder is a cylinder and a valve is a valve no mater what.
Break In Secrets--How To Break In New Motorcycle and Car Engines For More Power
So the best thing to do since driving it home is...Change that oil! IF you look up break in myths you will see quite a few articles. Moto mans is good because they have pictures and actual racing engines that prove the point. So drive it like you stole it but change that oil & Filter first.
