Me too:I remember the ads for the Yugo back in the day
people who say that have no clue. Hyundai's quality (and warranty) is ranked pretty high and they continue to climb up the ladder. let's not forget honda and toyota (which have been around for much longer) were laughed at when they first came along and look at them now. i bet most auto manufacturers wished Hyundai would fall off the face of the earth by now because of how successful they are (they do smart advertising which is everywhere) and taking their business. let people think what they want (their ignorance) they're only fooling themselves, Hyundai is not going anywhere anytime soon and is here to stay for a long time...
It was close to three decades ago and the Accent (I think that was the model?) was the least expensive car sold in the US (after the demise of the Yugo).
I can't believe you guys don't remember the Hyundai Excel

Oh come on....you made that up.
So this was funny ironic...
I was driving by my old MINI dealership yesterday and decided to stop and say hello. They were a good dealership, treated me well, and I knew a lot of the employees. Plus they knew my car well
Anyway...... I pulled in.
Turns out they were doing some sort of Motortober thing and had a food truck there.
But it wasn't just a food truck, it was a Korean food truck...
I ordered the chimchee fried rice balls
Told the guy in the truck I had to get them since I was one... He laughed Im the MAN
"Since I was one"

Yep, I was told that I'm not a ricer, but a chimchee (gimchee).

Hey Monica, I was watching "Regular Car Reviews" and they re-visited the Hyuindai Veloster turbo and while out driving it they mentioned there's a Hyundai tuning expert in Penn, just thought I'd pass it along to you

Maybe "Regular Car Reviews" can review your car Monica, that would be cool! I know they're based in Penn

Well today I left work to find it sleeting....
Sweet. Nothing like 36 degrees with sleet mixed with summer performance tires on a RWD car :righton:
