That’s ok, I never have time to game anyway. I always feel like I should be doing something more productive. Plus it’s more fun to actually drive than to simulate driving.

Monica, keep an eye out for something in the mail this week

So what's your take on these RS issues (head gasket, not a head gasket) I ask because a buddy of mine, the guy whom I helped polish his GT350, had an issue where his engine was replaced already and actually took an RS out for a test drive, it was the base model and he said he's looking into the next level up. He's a speed junkie so I'm not sure the RS will make him as happy on track compared to the GT350 but maybe this RS "could" be a DD but I'm not holding my breathe as he's just now seeing what else is possible out there with less displacement!

As far as the HG issue, I'm not concerned... I feel most of the issues people had (and there isn't that many cases, it's being blown out of proportion (no pun intended)) are early 2016s and those that have modified their cars. I have a 2017 and mine is stock. I also bought a 100k warranty so worst case scenario I'm covered no matter what.

The RS is a completely different animal than a GT350. SO hard to compare them really. It will really depend on what he likes.
There really isn't a "base" model... they all come loaded, minus a few packages than are really just niceties like heated seats and wheels.

As a DD it will also depend on his commute.... it doesn't get good gas mileage. Just being honest. I never care since my round trip to and from work is 6 miles. He may want to get something more tame for a daily and get another beast for fun. The RS for me is condensing 2 vehicles in one- a fun DD I can drive all year and not be bored to tears.

LOL I still go places and get asked what it is :cool:

Sure! And I'm sure the GT350 is a blast!

I'm not sure if they are true car people that ask, but yup, once in a blue moon I get the question. Depending on my mood is how I answer....
"it's a Ford...?" or "it's a Focus" or "it's an RS".... all answers get more questions and weird looks LOL
 
From what I have seen/heard most of the issues were with modified cars with bad/aggressive tunes. Team O'Neil Rally School campaigned an RS throughout the American Rally Association 2017 season and Climb To The Clouds hill climb at Mt. Washington this year with no issues. The powertrain is modified with almost the entire Mountune catalog. It runs constantly in the high rpm range for extended periods of time.

I will pass this along to my buddy, he's actually a member here but I can't see him converting to a car of this type, no matter how much I've said to him in the couple years I've known him.
 
Our daughter, who's going to be 2 yrs old this Friday, is learning about Hanukkah this week along with her classmates. I thought I'd pass along what her little hands made today
