Hey guys! Jake here from JC's Auto Detailing. I haven't been on the forums in who knows how long but I just wanted to share a quick update with my biz from when I first started going full time about 7 months ago. I worked out of my garage for almost a year and just loved every aspect of detailing. I had so much passion and drive I dropped out of my enlistment in the Air Force and opened up my first 1100sqft facility at 21 years of age. I went into this business only detailing, washing, polishing, corrections, etc.. I then jumped on board with Opti Coat Pro, Americoat, Cquartz, and so on.. I started to realize I really couldn't make a good living detailing unless I had multiple coating jobs every week. I then soon began to expand and learned how to do window tint, vinyl wrapping, PPF and a few other things. I have been so blessed with the opportunities I have had so far in this business. I literally dropped everything I had and put all my money into this. I took risks, but with confidence. At such a young age I didn't worry about failing, or not being successful. I let my hard work ethic and pride do all the talking. And with that I have grown so much over the past 7 months I finally moved out my (moms) house got my own place, bought a new CTS V and I will soon be expanding my shop to a 2500-3000 sqft facility with climate control, lifts, compressors, etc. I will also be sub leasing a PDR guy to help pay rent and make it the one stop shop. I've learned a lot from this forum and just want to say thank you to everyone who has helped. To everyone out there who wants to do this for a living.. Its hard work, day in and day out, Accounting, financing, supplies, inventory, bills(if you have a shop) clientele and so on. I learned that word of mouth is everything, always give your best whether its a $30 detail or $1000. If anyone has any questions or comments please feel free to ask me!
