As I've used my garage to work on cars for the last few years, I've slowly done more and more improvements in it to make it a nicer place to work. The best thing I've ever done, without a doubt, is to add my portable air conditioner. Everything takes a backseat to that one!
However, I've just added something that I thing might be of use to people here. I've added a custom made mosquito curtain to the garage door opening. This past summer has seen many pleasant days where I haven't needed to use the A/C but just had the door open with all the lights on of course. So, at night, you guessed it...I become a giant mosquito magnet!! I've had so much bug spray on that I'm sure it's not healthy. These curtains allow the breeze to come through but none of those nasty bugs!
I did a lot of research into different companies and products and this is what I chose:
Mosquito Netting | Screen Porch & Patio Enclosure Kits
The curtains come with a track and they bunch up at either side when not in use. The sides are held with marine snaps. The curtain is very strong, very good material. Nothing about them feels cheap. I highly recommend them to anyone!! They are not cheap, but I think they're worth it. I believe these cost in the neighbourhood of $400 shipped to Michigan.
Here is what they look like:

Thanks for looking!
