Tire dressing.

My take on this is clean your tires with Tuff Shine tire cleaner & use Prima Infinity dressing. They are the two best products in each class out of the numerous I've tried.

Some dressings work better on some tires than others. Infinity seems to work well on all.

haha, +1

But nevertheless I appreciate input here.

Question about PERL, do I need to wash tires before PERL or I just spray the PERL/water mixture directly on tire?

Mothers Back-to-Black Tire Renew is an OTC tired cleaner that imho's one of the best and easiest tire cleaners out there. Follow up with PERL and you'll have perfect results. You could use soap or another tire cleaner, but the Mother's one is outstanding and not too pricey.

Turtle Wax Endura Shine Tire Coating. Can be found OTC and there is a big thread here already. I put it on over a month ago and is still going strong

Appearance & Protection. A just detailed vehicle looks unfinished if the tires are not dressed. My fav is opti bond. DP tire gel is a close second. Tires i have seen dressed at my work parking lot....ZERO. LOL.

I agree. Some people don't like shiny tires. But I have to admit after I cleaned my brand new tires with megs apc, they looked pretty damn nice just clean

Is this called prima nero? I'm looking it up to see what it looks like

For my own cars I'll take two or three steps with high end products, but in the end it's just dressing. What is meant by "protection" anyway? The sidewalls of modern tires certainly won't break down and fail over a tire's recommended duty life of seven to eight years from DoM. In a production environment I can't imagine the need to use anything fancy, time consuming, or costly. A relatively strong caustic APC like Spray 9 or Formula 409 that works in seconds, a quick scrub and a rinse followed by whatever the shop can get cheapest, whether it's bulk ArmorAll or Meg's HD or something else.

Nero is their "old" dressing. The newer one is Infinity... It's polymer infused. It's similar to Adams SVRT. Infinity has improved durability over Nero - and actually beads water. Nero is good as an inside the car dressing.

No PERL is the only non OTC I have used. I tried the Armor All Extreme Tire Gel and it works very good, long lasting but is silicon based.

What is OTC? I'm guessing a spray? How does long does it last compared to OB and is it shinier? Anybody can anwser and thanks in advance

Over the counter. Items that can readily be bought at stores.

Durability and a true matte finish ?

Summer/fall here and the look seemed to last 1-1.5 months. Looked freshly applied for about 2-3 weeks of clean driving. Note: didn't use any heat once applied.

Also, the finish is hard to judge given how we all look at tires differently, but it was a 'pretty' matte finish that added some slight sheen. Nothing over the top at all.
