Hey guys, so I just got a 2013 mustang gt about a week ago. This weekend I will finally have a chance to get her polished and protected. My question is, what are some good products for black paint. Is there any product that makes black pop more than another product. I know it's the clear coat and not the black paint itself that is getting sealed/waxed so I can't see how there would be. But if anyone knows of anything that does please let me know.

Collinite 845

Agree. It looks great on my black pearl VW. If durability isn't an issue, you can go with any number of waxes with a higher carnauba content...or play chemist and layer sealants and waxes

Collinite 915 is also said to make black look amazing along with sealants like 4 Star UPP, Wolfgang Deep Gloss Pain Sealant, or Blackfire. I've not tried any of them, but all have strong recommendations from those who have.

^^^There you go! :props:^^^

After making sure the clarity and the smoothness of the CC-paint meets your expectations, then, IMHO: ANY quality Wax, Sealant, or Coating (LSPs) will more than suffice. The AGO store is amply stocked with such LSPs.

add to what bob said.. SF4500 with a black finishing pad does an excellent job of giving you that "pop"

then as Bob said

top with whatever, I use BFWD and/or 22ple coating

For correcting and polishing: Menzerna FG400 and SF4500 (IMO the best jeweling polish...PERIOD). I like to put a sealant and then top off with a wax. Menzerna Power Lock and then any of the quality waxes. I like Blackfire BlackICE. I have other waxes that are great too, however, BlackICE is good for a black car. Poorboys Red, Pinnacle Sourveran, Dodo Juice Supernatural, and Polish Angel Jubilee wax (not an AGO product). Any Collinite is good, but go with the BlackICE

I have the same color stang as you do and my ride is paint perfect!! Enjoy the ride!

Perfect the paint, then coat it with something like Cquartz UK, Optimum Gloss Coat, C.A.R Bulletproof, etc. You`ll thank me later.

CQuartz UK then sit back and enjoy the gloss!

this is it. i use the Wolfgang line of products. Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. let it cure for a few hours then do another coat, then let that cure over night. then top it off with a high quality wax. i like Auto Finesse Spirit
