Hey, at least he's got a bibliography so you can see where he copy-and-pasted it from--that's an improvement!

Yea.
Too bad he hasn't been allowed to post
on the AGO forum for some time now.

I'm too lazy to read an article about bird crap...but I knew birds didn't pee. When I worked in a hospital I once heard a surgeon talking about a surgery for someone with bladder cancer....

He said "I'm going to make him go like a bird"

That's a crapload of information.

Too bad? I don't ever think I've ever seen a narrative post from the guy, only copy-and-paste. We used to think he was just some sort of bot, even questions would simply get a copy-and-paste answer. It was like the internet version of one of those kidnappers who would only communicate by cutting out words from newspapers and magazines.

I had no idea of the back story

The information that he has apparently agglomerated, I have found informative

Does he post on any other Forums or did the Detailing Forum Mafia make him disappear?

He seemed to get banned from forums for "plagiarism" because he would just relentlessly copy and paste and give no attribution. That's why his bibliography impressed me.

Others have already alluded to some of the concerns I would have over this info. It is a whole load of info which is mostly of no real use to anyone and has a lot of rather tenuous science. Certainly, when it comes to the removal section, I would be extremely cautious. Limonene cleaners emulsifying and neutralising - maybe the former but limonene cleaners can be acid, neutral or basic. It is a big stretch to assume that neutralisation will occur. Some of the other suggestions also concern be - they fit with 'a bit of knowledge is dangerous' because the poster knows enough to make suggestions but not enough to know the limitations.

As others have said, be cautious and for the love of god, don't quote this poster as fact. There are endless examples of information which is massive in scale but is really really shaky if you look at it with an expert eye.

PiPUK,

When you say "Poster", I assume you are referring to TOGWT and not allenk4 (me)

Can you shed some light on the "reactivation" of a Bird Bomb caused by additional moisture from morning dew after the Bomb has dried?

Is a dried up Bomb affecting the paint or only when it is wet?

I was about to add that as a newbie I'm more confused than ever after reading the thread about bird excrement removal.

What is "1:1 IPA" mentioned above? Can't find IPA in the Acronyms threads.

What is a simple way to remove bird poop that doesn't involve a science degree? Do I gather that I could spray on Optimum No Rinse, let it soak for a bit, and then wipe off carefully with a soft towel (that you throw away) would work ok? Thanks.

have to admit I thought it was weird to see all of the posts from this person. never seen one post other than something that was copied. wondered where they went.

So I can use a quick detailer that contains no wax to remove bird droppings?

I didn't read the article as I think I can figure out for myself how to remove bird #### when necessary. And here's some evidence to back up that statement...

I was at Lowe's in my brand new black 2015 Chevy Colorado picking up some materials for a garage remodel job. The truck is literally brand new as this happened on Friday - I got the truck Thursday evening. I came out to find two huge black crows perched in the rafters above my truck. The attached pictures show what that means.

A $15.00 bottle of drinking water took care of the problem LOL.
