A friend who had a bad experience with substandard detailers came to me for my services. What he has told me that in his previous experience, he was never satisfied because eventhough after spending money on detailing, his car look just terrible under street lamps due to the massive marring and swirls that is left behind.
I took up the challenge and told him that I will make his ride shine until his eyes got painful.
Tools that I used:
DAS-6 Pro
LC yellow pad
LC white pad
LC Black pad
Duragloss Rinseless Wash(no access to water in my apartment)
Menzerna FG500
Osren Perfect Cut 2.0(Local made brand. I find this polish has a nice finish to it)
IPA (diluted to approx 20%)
Chemical Guys Blacklight(I was actually trying this out...)
Optimum Opti-seal
Before shots...
All swirled up due to incorrect washing techniques. such pain to see especially under the sun.
damage due to uneducated people opening their doors with excessive force.
Sorry, no overall picture of the car before I started my work. I got too excited to start my job!
Naked paint surface. This is after compounding, polishing and IPA wipedown.
damaged removed but there are still a tiny bit of deep scratches that is too deep. Not worth it to remove all.
A few more pictures...
Dont mind the white dots, those are damage from stone chips.
I was introduced to this product Chemical Guys Blacklight by my good friend. reading a few reviews, it is said that this product is used as a glaze instead of a sealant. Might as well I just try it for fun to see does it actually bring out more gloss.
After glazing with Blacklight. It does look deeper but just slight. kinda satisfied.
This I'm satisfied! oh yeah...
don't mind my shoddy dressing...
say hello to my friend. I just cant get enough of the reflection shots. Blacklight does bring out the gloss and makes the colour black even richer and wet. overall Im indeed satisfied...
overall picture after another round of IPA and sealing it with opti-seal.
Overall, my friend could not believe his eyes when I showed him the final product. he was over the moon when I handed his car over to him. he left as a very happy and satisfied man knowing his ride is shining much better than the day he first got the car(apparently when he first took the car, the whole car was swirled up with dealer induced swirls.).
hope u guys enjoy...
