I am so excited about this new tool. I am a beginner to buffing and have come to respect my 3401. I'm going to transfer to the rotary world next year and would like to get either this or the PE-14. I just can't see buying anything other than a FLEX.

That being said i cannot shake the thought that the new rotary tool looks very familiar to me. cover up the backing plate attachment in the picture and see if you can spot it. PE indeed.

AHuahua funny!

Luckily they haven't called it PE-9.

I would suggest that if you are going to buy one Rotary, the PE14 would be a much more versatile choice than the PE8

The PE14 will run every pad that the PE8 will

It has a much lower speed capability (600 RPM) that's a good thing

It is really light anyway

With an extension, it can get into everything that the PE8 can

I can say after demoing the PE 14 and PE8 that I have much more control and accuracy with the 8 over the 14.

For tight areas the 14 is too much too worry about and handle.

I have been able to finish down swirl free with PE 8. The RPM issue is really a non issues once you have the machine in your hands.

Suggestion stands

If you are only planning to purchase one Rotary....get a full-sized one

I think it looks like a Griot's 3" Body with a PE-14 Head grafted on to it

Still baffled by this machine

I want to see someone polishing something with the PE-8, that can't be polished with the PE-14

Oh, no wonder, I didn't realize we were still in Jr. High. My bad.

Your 'Saga' trying to figure out was funnier than the thread itself hhaha,

Just note it's posted Off-Topic, and I've learned not take things here too seriously! It's a cool down, although I'm sorry for OP (j/k), it has it's funny side, :iagree:

Have a wonderful day my friend!

Kind Regards.

Lol don't feel bad man, it is juvenile as hell i just couldn't help it.

I typed the post and deleted it three times before having enough tool accessories to post it.
