Hey guys my old windshield blade left a mark. I tried cleaning it real good. I guess the next step would be a restorer any suggestions it's making me nuts it's right on the driver side.

Glass polishing is pretty difficult. Do you have any experience machine polishing paint and do you have any machines? Most will tell you it's hard to get anywhere removing defects from paint without a machine, let alone glass.

It can certainly be done, however I wouldn't recommend it as your first polishing project.

If you can feel it with by rubbing your finger nail across it ...it will very difficult to remove. And If you do remove it chances are that there will be a noticeable defect there...because you removed some glass in that area.

Might just check on a replacement windshield.

Anyone have any ideas for a light scratch from a bad wiper blade? I tried rain x to clean it real good still unsuccessful and I went over it with my griot s on 6

You can try ceriglass; it's a glass polish. When selecting a glass polish, ensure it has ample ability to actually polish scratches. Not all of them do/can. Smaller glass pads work better than larger ones. Maybe pick-up a small backing plate, 3", and cut a glass pad down to size. A high speed drill might work better than your da because it's forced rotation with no oscillation.

i also had wiper marks on the wifes windshield i used car pros ceri glass polish i also used a glass polishing pad they sell here too while it did help remove some of the scratches it also did leave swirls in the glass that you can only tell when looking through the glass in certain lighting my advice is to use these products with the DA but then follow up with a soft finishing pad you might alsp want to consider going with a glass coating while the glass is bare also when using ceri glass you can use water to reactivate the polish as it dries quickly if you get spallter your also gonna want to rewash the car or attack the glass first and then wash the car it can get a bit messy you always want to use water and a towel to remove the polish to make it super easy i like ceri glass i just dont like that it left swirls in the glass but i believe that can come out with a softer pad good luck :props:

Have ceri glass polish some success but haven't lifted the light scratch been using gg 6 polisher. Tried black white and coral pads. Should I switch to my little polisher?

Yep, that's the guide I keep pointing to as well.

FWIW, a traditional DA will work well with CeriGlass and CarPro Rayon pads, no need to wrestle with a drill. At top speed and using enough water, it is almost impossible to get the pad to stop rotating. I was using WAY more weight that I'd ever consider using for paint correction, maybe 30-40 lbs.
