Winter is fast approaching, with it getting below freezing & snow starting to fall, our my detail products safe in the garage? Or should I move them into a storage room in the house? Im taking specially about liquid products such as waxes/sealants/cleaners etc. Thanks all

Yes good idea and that way next spring you go to use a product and find it has separated and won't work as good... If ya hd left it in the cold garage, I move all my products inside the house, to be on the safe side...

I always move my detail supplies inside. Alot of waxes warn not to let it freeze and even though my garage is somewhat heated, i just don't like taking the chance.

I always keep my detailing stuff inside. It gets too hot here in the summer and too cold in the winter.

move your detailing products indoors from extreme cold/heat and give them a good shake every month or so...

I'm glad I saw this thread. I moved my products into my basement, but it might be too late for the gallon of Optimum Car Wash. Most of it is thick, hazy, blueish-white. I'm hoping it'll be okay once it warms up. If not, I'm just glad my pricey sealants and polishes are fine, as far as I know. Ironically, the mini fridge they were stored in seemed to insulate them from the cold.

If you have the room, I suggest keeping everything inside year round. The temp in my garage probably swings by 100+ degrees in a given calendar year (plus high humidity in the summer). Inside the temp is fairly constant by comparison with maybe only 10 degree swings between summer cooling and winter heating. The only thing I keep in my garage spring-fall is my DG902.

I moved mine inside about two weeks ago. My brother has a large heated garage, so I just grab what I need and go to his place to do anything I need to do to my car in the winter.

DO IT! I did this a few weeks back. And with temps this week at 13-14 glad i did!! I just keep the basics in the house for a wash/interior. The bulk is stored in a heated basement.

Before I had a heated garage I kept some products outside in the garage and they were damaged by the cold. So, I would definitely suggest bringing them in!

I keep mine in my garage, never had a problem, then again it never really drops below 40 in there even on the most bitter cold days.

I have a problem. I live in a city where summer temps can rise to 45-46 C and winters can dip to near 2 to 4 C (night temps) in winters. My problem is since I get nearly 9 months of summer, my house doesn't have heating, so how should I go about storage? Inside temps can just be few degree above the outside.

Agree I bring everything in. Not worth it to find out what will and what will not survive!

If you have to ask, just bring it in.

I took over the main hallway closet where we keep the bath towels and installed shelves in our bedroom closet. Im at the point now where my wife won't complain anymore lol.

Gotta do what ya gotta do when you have a lot of $ invested in supplies.

If Optimum No Rinse freezes will it still be ok after it thaws? Has anyone used ONR or ONR Wash and Wax after it has been frozen?

Don't forget the qd sprays
etc in your cars.

What's ironic is I just moved most of mine out to the garage down here in Florida. It's so hot 7-8 months of the year in the garage the excessive heat kills em.

I keep my optimum car wash in my garage it does the same thing no problem when it warms up.
