Reccomend me something better

I'm a big fan of DP Poli-Coat. Super easy to apply. M21 seems like a great product and as usual very affordable from Meguiar's. I have also heard nothing but good things from Optimum Poly seal and Menzerna Power Lock (both companies make such high quality products that I would take a chance on either).

going to check mostly everything that was suggested!

Here's an idea AMMO Skin. Doesn't get a lot of play on this forum but its a top notch sealant that is extremely easy to apply and take off. Probably could do a whole car in less than 15 min using a GG 3" applicator and then wipe off. Longevity is pretty decent, but I have found the application is so easy, I get it done to a certain car every few months or so. Just an idea :)

I'll second that. I have pretty much standardized on AMMO product line and watched Larry Kosilla's videos many times.

Paste wax is the best...... then liquid.......then spray wax
They're all the same, the rest is just marketing.

Paste wax will last the longest, and give you the best shine. Liquid wax, like M21, is great as well but won't last as long. Spray wax is pointless.

My favorite is something I call GAS WAX =)

This is a professional product that I use for customers that I like. It's a solvent suspended carnauba, and also a great cleaner for mild oxidation (even works as a trim restorer).
It's a spray application, but it's THICK. And flammable because it WORKS!

Do you think it's possible to use AMMO sealant with Collinite 845 wax?

Guys,

From my understanding of how all these products work the last top coat of whatever you use is depicts the timeframe of how long it lasts. If its a spray, likely a week or so pending rain and washing. If its a Carnuba, then 2-4 weeks pending heat and washings. If its a sealant, then a few months pending heat and washings.

The undercoats of whatever you used, if topped, should stay protecting for its recommended time, and longer due to being topped.

Most companies now make products that are chemically based to work with each other. Topping adds layers of protection and elongates the time of the undercoats. Using different toppings that are manufactured by a different company does work, and the products work well, but sometimes not as well as if you used products from the same line.

AMMO line is totally chemically made to work with each other. Every product adds a slight layer to the finish. TO include the Hydrate (for drying). Good line up Larry has and I know he has worked years to make it correct. I use his products and have discussed them personally with him. Now, I also use Glass coatings religiously on my personal cars, and most clients cars.

22ple and Modesta are my two number one coatings. (I have not used the Carpro and Cquartz) I do top these coatings sometimes with a sealant, but lately have moved away from that. Those companies have produced toppings that are chemically made to match the coatings so in essence you are adding to it also.

I find doing a paste carnauba on top of the glass makes it pop more, but doing so only lasts a few weeks. I DO NOT use spray wax or spray detailer on glass. I find it doesn't apply well, I am sure due to the hydrophobic properties of the glass.

I am sure MIKE would say something along these lines. Putting a quality sealant and or carnauba is all you really need. Keeping up on maintenance washings and re-applying the coating that you used, and not waiting till its gone before re-applying, is all you need. If the paint was properly corrected, then the gloss level is at its highest and the sealant or carnauba protects the finish.

I fall into the keep adding on top school myself. I always want to increase gloss levels so I think that adding products will help. I am not so sure it really does to the level we think. Plus the time it takes. Yes, I tinker on my cars constantly and get bored when they are all done. So, keep adding. I looked at a vehicle I did with just the Modesta a year ago, and nothing but washing had been done, and it was just as shiny and clean looking as mine, almost. So I started questioning all the money and effort I had spent with mine, if it was just as close to the shine. Therapy so money well spent.

Hope this helps
