He knows well that all he has to do is call DR G. I would hope that you don't try to say that he is lying. OC put on properly will only come off by abrasion. Otherwise it stays on permenantly. It is only kyle's agenda that confuses you. Not facts. Hope this helps you. Btw, you can or anyone can call DR G and pick his brain. Or do you take Kyle""'s word?
 
I posted here a while ago but to add my weekend warrior observations and point of reference.

My evolution in my detailing experience went like this. Started with turtle wax in the late 80s, stuck with that until about 2006 when I switched to p21s blue top, then to p21s 100%. Then BFWD, upgp, poorboys ex, Permanon platinum and finally after learning how to polish properly, I went to coatings the first Opticoat 2.0 and shortly there after EXO on a different car. Both of the coatings mentioned above gave me approx 2 years of good beading. Both petered out (beading) at approx the 2 year mark. They are both very easy to clean up even in their current state so I believe they are still there. Just harder to dry without the beading. Both have better mar resistance than sealants or waxes IMHO and observation.

For me coatings are well worth the $ and prep because when. Done properly I do not need to top up the LSP with anything for 2 years and my maintenance washes are super easy.

This is the observation of a non pro. My observations are on my own vehicles. I am not affiliated with any of the companies mentioned in the post.

I would be happy to answer any questions on either of the coating or other products I have experience with.

I like coatings, the provide a lot of benefits.

Like Bob has stated we need to be upfront and clear as to the expectations with the client. "will I get water spots on this coating" Correct answer is yes......."can I get scratches in the coating" correct answer yes. Part of selling a coating needs to be the care of the coating.

I've had a certain coating on my truck for two years, and I'm pretty darn careful with washing.......guess what?... it has fine marring and some water etching in that coating. Does the truck look more amazing than most anything on the road, yep it does. I like how much easier it is to care for, I like how it looks, I like the ongoing protection.

What has happened, in my opinion over the years, is that the industry has oversimplified and thus created an unattainable standard in the clients mind that the coatings are like a diamond encrusted LSP that you apply and forget about. That is simply not true.

Hmm, mine has no such disclaimer and can you name a surface that it can't be mechanically removed from? I guess carpet would be one, but it could still be chemically removed from it.

What ever you put down on your credit application is what you are.

As far as what I think personally - that is a silly question to ask me, (I have absolutely no idea what so ever of your private life. I do know that you have a black car that is swirled and you use a wolfgang sealant) unless you think I am a bodybuilder just because I go to the gym, or I am a photographer because I love to take pictures.

What really matters is what you think of yourself.

Where do you see any claims I make about no maintenance?

You do not know me, or what I provide in my services with each client. Do you?

Instead, why don't you try the product for a change, that you are trying to discredit every chance you get.

The owner of Optimum tells you that the product is permanent.

Have you been able to disproof his claim? Can we all see it?
