I spent about 15 minutes polishing a used keg using my Porter Cable PC 7424 trying different things I had on hand like mothers metal polish and Pinnacle advanced swirl remover. It didn't turn out bad, I didn't take any before shots. Any idea what other compound I should use for aggressive polishing? Remember, it's just a keg, I don't want to spend a fortune. If this doesn't belong in this forum, please feel free to move it. I didn't see any other place that it would fit. I used Lake Country pads fyi.

That's devotion right there. Are you returning the keg for a refill? If so, the distributor is going to blown away.

Look up the Zephyr polishing system on Youtube. It may be a bit overkill for a keg but it is an amazing system.

Wish i could help but my only experience is polishing one off!

Oh no, these are my kegs. I make my own beer and put it in these 5 gallon kegs.

I am in S/E Michigan, Westland to be exact.

I'm on the eastside! A couple cities north of the City.

Did you make it out to Hopcat Saturday for the Grand opening in Detroit?

Nope, but I just went today. The wife and I hit MGM for a bit then went to Hopcat. I tried getting a friend to go but he was busy. Neat place, good selection.

My 2 go to metal things are S100 total finish restore or 3M Metal polish, used with 0000 steel wool for tough items

It's probably the only place I'll want to go in the city now.

We waited 2.5 hours to get in, worth it for us, my Wife and I are huge Short's fans. Had a couple of their beers at our wedding. We got to meet the owner of Short's that day too! Stole a few beer menus listing the 120 that were available that day.

Funny you say that, we're headed to Bellaire in a few days. Guess where I'll be at?

If I'm within 50 miles, I stop. Traverse, Gaylord, Petosky, all close enough for me lol.

Have fun! I haven't been there since they opened the new store.

While I have never polished a keg.

I have definitely polished a few off.
