Top 5 Worse Car "Uprgrades"

I don't dislike any of them. Why? Because it's not my ride!

Your vehical represents you and is an extension of you... There's only one aftermarket thing I dislike about any car, thats DIRT.

That statement doesn't compute for me. If you don't dislike them, would you put them on your ride? The answer is most likely not, and the most likely reason is because you don't like them. ;)

Not liking and not caring are two different things but can be easily confused. I don't like them even if it's not my ride, but I don't care because it's not my ride. ;)

I fall in the category of, "They didnt use my money to do that to their car and they arent doing it to my car so I dont care really" Seems like a waste of your time worried about and taking pictures of someone else's car just to bash them. You should find more positive things to do with your own time.

My biggest gripe is the "stance" phenomenon right now...

Nothing like taking a nicely performing car and destroying the handling to the point where you can't make it over a speed bump anymore :bash:

Ditto for most of what's been mentioned. Although after doing a Maintenance wash on a wrapped Ferrari over the weekend I'm definitely a fan!!

I hate underglow with a passion - it doesn't get more ricey than underglow.

For me, if it doesn't make the car perform better it's a worthless mod. Just my .02

Not true, bc I would roll the Bentley as pictured.. At the same time, everything isn't for everyone.

Furthermore, what makes anyone here the vehical police? Saying you like or dislike anything anyone puts on their ride is irrelevant, when the hard earned green doesn't come out your pocket.. Because you wouldn't do this or that gives you better taste?

I love seeing custom cars albeit tacky or not. I like that stance look but I wouldn't do. I like big wheels, but I wouldnt put 24's on a Accord.

The thread is meant to be funny people take it easy.

Here you go...Meet the: "Athletic Supporters"

I dunno, though...
Even I can't argue that this guy isn't quite the athlete:

LOL. Best one yet, Bob. How did this thread last this long without these one coming up!! :)

re: silly LED strips, they can actually be handy! i have an old '99.5 Pathfinder with over 180k that is super rugged but because of where it came from...and to a certain degree, where i reside, the situation to get the failing license plate lights fixed (seems like they always end up dying on that particular gen) was so arduous due to corroded hardware that i scored those flexible, cutable strips from Advance and wired one in place of my factory plate lights. there was a perfect rectangular blank spot that worked out swell for it. just needed to clean the spot well, trim up some 3M mounting foam tape and bam - i was legal, for minimal cost. i even coated the stupid thing with Opti-Lens just in case. yes, i should have trimmed a few of the diodes off because it's about 5x as bright as it needs to be, but it's been there for a while - no complaints from anyone.

YES!

It kills me on other auto forums I follow when some newbie asks about modding advice and the first few responses are, "give it some stance!".

I don't know about most people, but I have to drive my car every day. I cannot imagine how miserable the ride is in a car that's been lowered that far and had 20" wheels jammed in the fender wells. I do find it entertaining when those cars can't make the incline into a gas station or shopping area because their front clip or suspension won't clear.

I thought "Stance Makes the Girlies Dance"; at least that's what I saw on a VW.
