Just bought Mike's IBook , downloading right now.
Complete Guide To A Car Show Shine!

I told Mike I was going to buy it, now that I detail for a living I thought it was needed.
Yes I have many years in the industry but we don't know everything, there's much more we can learn no matter how seasoned we my be.
Right?

Hey Kevin!! I bought the book too!! I also bought Reny Doyles book too. I consider myself an "experienced" detailer but it is always a great thing to have a sort of "bible" hangin around in case I get Alzheimer's disease! LOL

I payed for it but won't download, it continues to say "Book will be in your library when downloading is complete "
It's been hours, looks like something went wrong
There goes my money, and my book.

What device are you trying to get it on? I could be 100% wrong, but I seem to remember you needing an iPad to get it - opposed to a regular computer. Things may be different now though.

In my case, I bought the hardcopy books. Sorry to hear you are having issues.

It should show up in iBooks under "purchased". If the download is locked up, try shutting the IPad on & off and re-downloading it.

I deleted it and now downloading it.

It will take a little while to download. It's best to be connected to Wi-Fi.

Still took time but it seems it downloaded , I see it but it's faded out.
I tap the book but nothing happens.
I've done all I could, too frustrated to continue , besides there's nothing more I can do.

I'm sure it's an Apple issue being my other book works fine.

I see it on my shelf ,in purchased.
When I tap it it fades but won't come up?

I have had this problem once before with another book that I purchased, it is a downloading error (corruption in download).

First thing is to do a power cycle on the device to reset the iPad.

• To do this you need to press and hold the Home button and the sleep/wake button down together.
• Continue to hold until the iPad shuts off and the Apple Logo appears.
• Once the logo appears let go of the buttons.

Then allow about 1-2 minutes for the software to load back up.


OK once that is complete, try to remove the book and re-download from iCloud.

1. On the bookshelf Tap Edit
2. Then tap the book so that a checkmark appears.
3. Tap Delete.
4. When you finish, tap Done.

Then re-download from the cloud:

To redownload books, you'll need to go to the iBookstore.

• Tap the Store button in the top right corner.
• In the bottom row of buttons, tap the Purchased option. - This will show you a list of all the iBooks books you've bought using the iTunes account you're logged into.
• Books that are not on the device you're using will have the iCloud icon next to them. Tap it to download the book.

See if the book now opens. Let me know the outcome.

Sorry you can't download this. I just went in my iBooks on my iPhone 6 (Mikes book is on iPad) and this is what I saw:

Now I'm getting books that I didn't even buy.

I'm downloading Mike's book again.
Hoping it works this time.
It was a Christmas gift from my son-ln-law.
He didn't know what to get me so he asked my wife what he should buy for me she told him I've been wanting to buy Mike's book but was too tight to do so. Lol

Great gift if I can get it to work.

It is only available on iPad and Mac, hence the reason why you can't get it on the iPhone.

I got the 'real' (hardcopy) version myself.
It reads like an Autogeek catalog. This machine, that machine, this pad, that pad. etc.
I do like that there are hyperlinks to various threads that Mike has posted though. :dblthumb2:

Not a fan of the whole proprietary interface from Apple. Which is why me and my son both have the Samsung S4 and CarMomma gave me a small Android tablet for Christmas. She has an iPad and her as well as my (now married) daughter OTOH have the iPhone 6. :laughing: Were it (and the rest) available to REAL computer users I'd have downloaded them by now.

Already had Mikes first book as well as Renny Doyle's. Renny's book is a must read!

I downloaded another book and it works fine.
I'm just going to order the hard copy.

Weird though,I can delete any book except Mike's book, it won't let me delete it nor download it again.
It was purchased.
