Recommend me a good quality sealant.

I think it's funny that the OP says he's using Opti-Seal and likes it but it's getting hard to get where he is, but almost no one suggests any WOWA sealants (like Opti-Seal).

I can't really add to any of the traditional sealants that have been mentioned, but I can list the WOWA products that are similar to Opti-Seal:

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Liquid Seal, paint sealant
BLACKFIRE Crystal Seal Paint Sealant, best paint sealant, paint sealer
Ultima Paint Guard Plus 4oz., paint sealant, liquid wax, car wax, paint sealer
Zaino Clear Seal

As some have suggested, a coating would also be good, the spray coatings would have a similar application method to Opti-Seal, but you have to pay a lot more attention to what you are doing:

Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating
Detailer’s Paint Coating, nano paint sealant, ceramic paint coating, nano paint coating
Duragloss Enviroshield Ceramic Coating System

Or a "coating" that has more of a traditional sealant application method: Sonus ION Paint Coating

As an alternative,
OP can buy a couple of, or one, Opti-seals @ AG, and have them or a buddy post it to him in a USPS priority small box.
Last time I sent a similar package to Australia, it cost ~ $12-14 if I remmember correctly and got there in a couple of weeks.

If you can get your hands on some collinite 845, not a true sealant but it's an awesome hybrid.

I use AMMO skin. Works great and I notice how much easier it is to wash after it has been sealed.

Always wanted to try skin but not sure I can justify the price. Although I don't know what the product offers besides being the foundation or base of the layers

I nominate Menzerna Power Lock for overall good sealant: application, removal, durability, and looks.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for all the help you guys have offered !

I really wanted to try Wolfgang deep gloss but got a good price on Collinite 845 so I went with that since the reviews seemed good and the sales person said it would be more durable and i'd get a good finish without having to use another wax.

I'm really keen to try this out and see how well it works.

Now all thats left is to figure out how to clean the inside of my windscreen properly to get rid of all the smudges and filth.

I have used Wolfgang Sealant 3.0. I just did my car on Christmas eve with 2 coats of Polish Angle Cosmic and it was extremely easy to apply no high spots , flash over to worry about, and no IPA wipe down.

Easy to use ,wonderful shine and very slick . I will be interested to see how long it holds up. I used my DIY LED work lights with Bogen 3001 tripod and showed me every paint defect imaginable.

I think coatings are the new future not the snake oil of 20 years ago.

I am getting less interested in all the prep work to get to the sealant or wax as get older.

The Wolfgang Sealant 3.0 is still awesome and will be using on the wife's car till the Cosmic durability factor comes in over the next 12-24 months.

Its the prep to the surface that is the name of the game

I'd say Duragloss Enviroshield ceramic coating, fort the $40 cost and ease of application its hard to beat.

My go to had been Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection, but after exploring the Duragloss, I can't find a good excuse why not to replace my sealants with this. Its extremely easy to apply and get perfect results, and so far after 3 months with nothing topping it, it beads like the first day. The new consumer lines of coatings are really user friendly and priced to be competitive with sealants on the market.

Wolfgang Glossy Paint Sealant works very well for me.
One bottle goes a long way being you only use very little to do a car.
Easy to apply and easier to remove.

Leaves a nice gloss on a well prepped car, last about 8 months, for me anyways.
I've tried a few over the years but IMO there's no better than WG, you'd have to use a coating to outperform the WG sealant.

Give it a try.

I was applying some to my car today by hand using a foam applicator. Started off using 3 small dots on the pad for each half but i'm unsure if I applied enough. I kept doing the glass test and whilst it didn't leave a thick layer on the glass it did leave some on it.

I've noticed there is a tad bit of hazing in some areas (especially where the 3 dots first touched) but is there another way to make sure i've applied enough product ?

Should I buff it off now and apply another coat to be safe ?

Sorry for the delay. Missed the notification. I am not sure of its other features but Larry is readily available via email.

No Sonax Polymer Net Shield love yet? Super easy to apply, cures in minutes instead of hours and looks ok.

Topped with Collinte 845 the water bounces off, lol.

I've read alot of good things about Wolfgang, it will be the next one I try.

And Collinte 915 is on my list to try next as well.

I really enjoy the reflection CarPro Reload gives off. But it can be tricky to apply. Gives months of protection.

I personally use paint coating on my daily drivers and sometimes add Optimum Car Wax as drying aid to give it a bit more gloss

I have yet to use my WGDGPS but have experienced BFWD and PL. PL still going strong so will use WGDGPS once the beading starts to drop off. I can then formulate my own conclusions on the three from own experience. I have also tested Soft99 King Of Gloss paste sealant and its really good, prior to that had Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax. 915 thus far is still the king in looks but I want my findings to be around the sealants only.

The OP has said he/she went with Collinite 845 Insulator Wax, has anybody directed the OP to Nick's great 845 tutorial thread?

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...e-845-definitive-how-guide-legendary-wax.html

That said, this is a good thread in which to continue sharing our experiences.

Meguiar's M21 -- easy application by hand or machine, easy wipe, good look, good beading and dirt repellency, good durability, great price.

BlackFire Wet Diamond -- easy application by hand or machine, very easy wipe, incredible gloss and shine, great beading, good repellency, great durability, great price considering amount needed.

Collinite 845 Insulator Wax -- somewhat trickier application and removal (have not used machine), ok wipe, great gloss and shine, great beading and repellency, amazing durability in tough conditions, great price.

Meguiar's D156 Express Spray Wax -- only used as a topper/booster on previously sealed cars but extremely easy to use, wipes off glass easily if necessary (but works great on glass too), great gloss, shine and slickness, amazing beading and repellency in combination with bases I've used, good durability so far this winter, incredible value.
