Flex Precision Pads 1 inch 2 inch 3 inch - IN STOCK

Re: Flex Precision Pads 1 inch 2 inch 3 inch

i already have one of those because i have an old 2 7/8 rotary plate that was orig meant for my Makita but i mainly use it with the adapter and my DA. so the Flex BPs accept the same size as a rotary? didn't know.

if that's case, i'm likely going to get the 1" BP and pads. seems really handy.

I'm presuming since it's a rotary it has the standard rotary thread, 5/8-11 I believe. Mike will correct me if not.

Re: Flex Precision Pads 1 inch 2 inch 3 inch

Hi mike

Is it right to say that with these small diameter pads, the use of masking tape is reduced or even no taping is needed?

Thanks in advance
Rafael

Re: Flex Precision Pads 1 inch 2 inch 3 inch

Great to see!, this is what I meant when wrote 'Sell me in or out PE8', I'm sold and will move my sticks to get mine soon.

Looks like the car panels were created for the tool to be used!, perfect fit in every place.

Thanks a lot for sharing,

Please, if possible, give us another video review of PE8 other than the youtube video at SEMA (great one I've watched hundreds of times already!), you know, how to use Flex PE8... you know!

Thank you in advance,

Kind Regards.

In some cases "yes" as you are reducing the size of the pad and thus reducing the potential to buff on a raised edge or body line.

As for working around plastic trim that would be a personal preference type judgment call. If your hands are as steady as a surgeon you can probably avoid taping off plastic trim.

Me? If I'm working on a car with anything I don't want to try to scrap compound, polish or wax residue off of then I'm going to tape it off...

:)

i posted this in the PE8 thread. thought it was funny. i wish i could post a pic of me holding one of the little pads. i'm 6'4" 340 with decent sized mitts so my wife found it hilarious when i showed her these stupid little pads hahaha

These work on the 3401? What's all needed?

There is no backing plate smaller than 4" for the 3401. It's unlikely there ever will be due to the gear mechanism. To put a 1" pad on a 4" backing plate is not advised and would not get you any real benefit.

Due to the forced rotation of the 3401, you can get a larger pad up on an edge to polish tight spots and maintain rotation.

So just use my 6-6.5" (don't remember) pads on an edge/angle?
