I'm surprised about Adam's.

I have used every glass cleaner mentioned in this thread (unless one escaped my skimming) and have come to the conclusion that's Adam's is the best by far. It doesn't work terribly well in the cold weather, so I turn to the more economical D120 for the crappy, salty, cold winter months.

I should mention that D120 doesn't work great in the winter months either, but it's easier on the wallet to waste some product here during the cold times.

While cleaning is important...they all clean fine. But Adam's is slicker and doesn't streak as much as others do. Slickness and the way the towel glides is important to me as it seems to be much easier to clean glass.


One of a few items Adam's car care has that's at the top of my list in its respective category.

Just my opinion.

I'm more of a if it works and I like the results kinda guy. I am on a bit of an Adams run at the moment but I've done them all. Ammo, Megs,1Z and CarPro. I find what works and only move on if I'm interested in trying something new.
 
I've actually starting using onr to clean glass it's a very cost effective product.
 
8 oz to a gallon same as the detail spray, I use it for a lot of purposes.
 
I mostly use Wolfstein’s Zap Cloth and dont need cleaner much anymore

I wonder who the Guys are that does the relabeling/rebranding, (and possible reformulating?),
deals for Adam's.

That's always been speculation...and has anything ever been proven? I'm more worried about how a product performs.

It's kind of like the bread industry. You may never know...

Go try Chemical Guys' glass cleaner and then use Adam's glass cleaner. If you do, pease report back with your findings.

What is it...that you are saying has always been speculation?

Does your bread analogy also apply to Wonder Bread?

Speculation that the 'Guys' relabel or reformulate....or whoever does it for them is involved with Adam's products.

Not sure if Wonder is back everywhere in the country, but certain parts, yes.
 
One of the local delivery truck guys was stocking bread when I was at the grocery store about a year ago. He asked me what I wanted.

I told him, "hot dog buns."

He replied, "what brand do you want?"

I said, rather sarcastically, "Does it really matter? They're all made at the bakery in Fort Worth in the same machines, same basic local ingredients, and baked in the same ovens, aren't they?"

He smiled at me and nodded that I was mostly correct, save that the store brands tend to add more water to the dough, which is how they were cheaper.

He said that if you planned on using the bread within a day or two of purchase , you'd never know the difference between the store brand and something like sun beam. But if you used them later in the week, the store brands dry out and get harder more quickly.

It's the same thing with milks, eggs, etc. They can't afford to ship those $0.99-$3.99 retail items from the happy cows in California or the best hens roaming the free ranges of Montana all over the country.
 
I used to use the Stoners exclusively and then tried the Griot's foam... Haven't looked back since. While the Stoners is great I like the Griot's better.
 
while the megs glass cleaner concentrate is an excellent value, it us useless to me because I mainly use a traditional glass cleaner on the inside of the vehicles only these days and one bottle will last a long time and I don't like sitting on product for years. IG and megs pc/nxt glass cleaner are both very good...

good point. i took mainly only use it on interior glass too but my wife uses it for the house windows and as a general counter/stove cleaner so we go through it. not crazy fast, but enough to warrant the $18 or whatever it is for 11 gallons haha.
 
aim4squirrels - He knows the deal. Yet somehow they (some of the breads) look, feel and taste different.

You have to try it to find out.
 
Auto Finesse is really good, I just got Adam's it works great and smells awesome. That + the Uber hi tech glass towel is my favorite combo ever. I want to try 1Z, but it can't be shipped to California. Perhaps I'll have an out of state family member get some and ship it to me. That towel's though is about flipping perfect, easily one of the best detailing things I've bought in a long time.
 
Yesterday I tried the Eagle One Superior Nano Spray, says works on glass.
Well,wow, it does, no streaks, glass had a nice shine.
My new go to glass protector for daily drivers.
I used it inside and out.

Not bad for an OTC products.
