Bulk buyer looking to buy gallon sizes to save money over time. Decided I want a Iron attacking product for the paint mostly as I think I'm gonna go Brown Royal on the wheels(better + cheaper). Realized the P21s Gel Refill(4Liter/Gallon) and Iron X Refill(4Liter/Gallon) were a significatntly better deal than the squeeze bottle consumer size(I've made up my mind to only buy gallon or larger products with good mix ratios the best of the best). So those of you with experience of both products, in any situation, which one do you like better and why?

Also is the gel good to spread over paint or would this be a waste of product as it clumps too much and you would end up using far more than ironx? They got me, don't like the idea of iron particles sitting in my paint. I guess its a new stage a subsurface clean after claying before polishing.......

P21s won't get as much iron out as it has other ingredients in it as it is meant to be a wheel cleaner.

P21s is a wheel cleaner. I found that it was only an ok wheel cleaner compared to other options on the market. It is not a replacement for IronX. If you want something for paint the IronX or the OPT Ferrous is the way to go. Leave P21s at the store.

I've never tried IronX, but I was not impressed by P21S Gel.

P21S Gel sticks pretty well to the wheel surface, but I found it to be too mild. In fact, I found my normal car wash shampoo had the same cleaning power, so I quit buying it and simply washed my wheels with the solution in my wash bucket.

I look at IronX and P21S Gel as being two completely different formulated products, intended for two completely different tasks---with both being good at what they're intended.

Note:
Instead of P21S wheel cleaners,
I'll use the S100 equivalency:
-Local availability
-More economical

+1. I've had experience using both p21s and iron-x, they are two very different products. Before you comit to purchasing either I'd recommend you decide on what you need (iron remover or general wheel cleaner) and go from there.

Personally I save my iron x for paint decontamination jobs and use Sonax Full effect for rims when needed.

Iron X because that is the product that will accomplish what you want although there are cheaper alternatives sold outside of AG.

P21S... Crazy. Like 20 bucks for a small bottle?

Just get 2oz of yr favorite foamy carwash soap, put it in a 32oz spray bottle, fill with water, - add a foaming sprayer.

You just essentially made P21S wheel cleaner for 25 cents worth of product.

I should start selling SwanicYouth pH neutral wheel cleaner - it's approved by BBS and everyone else - because it's just carwash soap.

If you wanna by a bottle - send me 20 bills. 60$ for the gallon.

SYMAWD what other alternatives were you alluding to? are these the iron removal type?

Ok, so the consensus is that Iron X is generally the stronger product but doesnt stick to the surface and P21s is more of a wheel product only. OK thank you guys that clears up this question. When it came down to iron removers these seemed to be the top of the US products; there is BillBurry in UK but shipping is prohibitive as well as price and currency conversion rates. I had a feeling Iron X was stronger but was worried P21s was superior due to contact time. Ok I think that makes IronX the strongest and best all around Iron removal product on the currently known consumer market(for paint iron removal and maybe post rim clean iron check). Searched all around and found many matchups of these products but never these 2 going head to head. Maybe this will help others save cash in future. If anyone has any superior alternatives to these 2 please list. Didn't read or see Eizensett and didnt realize Sonax is also color changing? Is Sonax considered the best? Not sure I found this video encouraging first time I saw it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwMHem9YtcI. Eizensett looks promising https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApNpoXV946o
