Paint Decontamination

How old of a cars paint would you recommend using this iron x on? Should I be using this iron x on customers cars that are 2 and 3 years old?

Also, would this product remove all the baked tar that's on the wheels. You know, the neglected wheel that has hardened tar baked on!

It depends on the particular vehicles condition. Most new cars can spend time in lots waiting to be shipped while sitting in industrial areas and can be shipped by rail. Asian cars are the same, big industrial areas and then waiting at the ports which are big industrial areas with at least rail dust being generated.

Here is the thing, Clay bars, mitts, and towels all remove above surface decontaminants. While a those can do that they can not remove Iron fallout that can lodge itself into the clear coat. The clay can break off the top exposed fall out but, the lower parts of the fall out will still remain.

This is where IronX comes into play. IronX will dissolve these lower particles into the clear coat and remove these.

Great info. Thanks. I'm still learning. By removing all the iron particles with Iron X how does this benifit the look of the car. I only ask so when in tell my customers about this option, I can full understand and explain the benifits as to why removing all lower iron particles is beneficial.

That's true. I did notice that iron X is running $100 dollars for the gallon. Little bit costly considering how many ounces one may use up to completely spray down a mid size vehicle.

In my area, I'm getting around $170 for a detail that includes a clay bar and AIO cleaner wax. Plus interior clean as well.

How much would you recommend me adding to the detail price with the iron x included?
