Mike- While I am waiting for the arrival for your book I have a question. I think I am going to go with the Pinnacle Advanced compound. What is your take on Polishes are they all the same? I feel the Pinnacle product line is price compared to competitors but their compound in your video looks amazing which is why I want to use that compound. Is their something to look for in a polish? Also I use Klasse sealant. What are the steps in detailing? Clay, compound, wax, polish, glaze, seal? Do you have a preference in pads? I like the foam ones you use in the video and was curious about the microfiber bonnets. Thanks

No. If you read enough of my posts on this forum you'll see me typing the below words a LOT.

abrasive technology

Some brands have great abrasive technology and some brands have other strong products in their line.

I'm mostly a paint polishing guy, I wrote this years ago....

The Mindset of a Professional Detailer

So in keeping with what I wrote, that is adopting every car I buff out as though it were my own I only use products that use great abrasive technology.

I think I mentioned this in another thread we were talking in? Paint is thin, you don't want to make a mistake.

I wrote this a few years ago and while the title talks about "new" cars you follow the same steps for any car you're about to detail.

How To Detail Your Brand New Car by Mike Phillips

And my first how-to book pretty much follows the same path...

The Complete Guide to a Show Car Shine
