There are a bunch of videos on youtube (Mike Phillips, Ammo, Junkman) as well as threads in this forum. I wouldn't get caught up in the details, just get the prinicipals down i.e. two-bucket wash, proper cadence for the wash, how to dry the car without swirling/marring the paint.
Wash- two 3 5 gallon buckets (one for wheels, two for the body..one wash/one rinse), microfiber wash mitt x2 (one for wheels, one for paint)
Dry- I use an electric leaf blower, then microfiber towel..guzzler.
Chemicals- I would start with Megs, which you can buy at any box store. In fact Kmart is selling a kit with soap, quick wax and quick detailer.
Towels- this is where you spend your money. You can get towels here or The rag company, or Microfiber tech. I personally like the pricepoint and quality of the microfiber tech towels. Avoid Chemical Guys towels like the plague.
Any other questions, shoot me a PM
