I have a friend in the Boston area who's traveling down to my house in June for me to do a full paint correction detail to his car over the weekend.
Nice guy- can't do his own car, he's older and has Stenosis and has had major back surgery.
I told him I want nothing to do the car. Just want to help out a friend.

He was just telling me he thought someone spilled something on his bumper so he was going to get some Dawn or Windex to clean it off...

OK- I need to get make him a car care kit to take home with him.

1. Definitely some new microfibers
2. I'm going to mix him up a big thing of ONR

Other ideas would be helpful...but keep ideas simple- he's handicapped so nothing tricky for him to use.

Thanks gang!

A good QD spray to keep him from using Windex on exterior spills.

Something for waterless washes. Sealant to protect the car after you polish it. Wax? Wheel Cleaner, APC, and who knows what else

Some APC properly diluted in a spray bottle and perhaps a well thought out handout explaining how to use the various items you donate. He might be more apt to follow your advice, since you are the one helping him out, than someone he doesn't know who has written a book about detailing cars. (I have Mike's book, so I am not discounting his knowledge, I just think he might be more apt to follow advice from someone he knows and trusts. Apologies Mike):urtheman::urtheman:

Mike's Book would be awesome for me, but not for this guy.

I think your idea is good- a few tips and instructions. Simple, easy and concise. He's really not able to do anything himself other than a quick wipe down if something gets on the car while he is out.

That is so awesome for you to do that Monica! You are a special woman my friend:) be sure and post some pics afterwards:)
