First posts today!
My father in law is having 3M paint protection film applied to his new Boxster (half hood, mirrors, A Frames, Bumper, head and fog lights). I intend to apply Diamond Surface Coating to his car.

Has anyone had any issues applying coatings to PPF?
Any precautions I should take ie wait a few days or weeks before applying the coating to the "clear bra".

Any suggestions please forward!

Thanks!

Look over in the thread on this coating, near the end. Nick specifically said not to use the new Blackfire (quartz) coating on PPF.

Which is where he said YES to using Pinnacle Black Label (silica) coating on PPF. :)

Right on thanks

Sorry, no experience with this. However when it comes to protection, nothing compares to a quality film. I feel a coating on top may be redundant. Possibly fun and interesting though. Nathan

Makes a huge difference. Now that we have applied Opti-Coat Pro on a C7 Z06 that is tracked constantly the car is much more easily and safely cleaned.
