Been a while since I have been on the site, but what coating do you guy like the best.

Specifically looking for my daily driver Honda and hoping to get a coating that will give the paint any bit hardness to prevent swirls and marring.

Have had my eye on CQuartz but not sure if you guys like something different now.

22ple just came out with VXpro2. claimed 3 year durability and its pretty expensive.

For me, I like PBL paint coating. Sooo easy to use.

Got a box of VX Pro2 sitting on my desk. Scheduled to go on a VW Golf R in a couple weeks. I will likely do a test panel this weekend to get a feel for it.

I do like 22PLE and PBL. Duragloss strictly for the value, just does not seem to get quite the same performance as some others.

I have Cquartz on my Si. My car was filthy. So now for a quiz. Did I wash it or drive it in the rain today?

to those who hate on coatings, this sort of thing is what i try to explain to them. my wife's Audi stays looking clean for longer and there is one reason: it's coated!

I have nothing to compare it to, but I coated my Honda Element with Cquartz UK back in February while I was in California. I was nervous about the ease of application due to what I had read about some people's experience with Cquartz, but I didn't have any problems at all; it was quite smple.

I drove it across the country back to my home in Virginia. Here, it sits outside 24/7. I don't pamper the finish as well as I should; I use cheap microfiber towels, and sometimes I touch the paint in ways that would make people here cringe. From that perspective it seems quite hard; the finish is still fantastic.

cquartz UK has some pretty impressive youtube videos. Havent seen too many vids of other coatings showing scratch resistance.

Gtechniq C1+EXO is my absolute favorite.

Cquartz UK topped with reload.

Gloss-Coat

silly easy to install
so slick
from a coating market pioneer
made here
maker is accessible - the actual guy who goes in the lab and makes it can be reached on the phone or via email

What is the difference between the CQuartz v2014 and the UK version?

Does the new Gloss-coat help add any hardness like CQuartz claims?

I read on the Detailers Image site that Menzerma was making some of the Blackfire products. Can someone confirm or deny this rumor?

Similar SI02 content now. UK version flashes faster in lower temp climates (ie UK climate). Easier to use in those climates.

I currently have been using the CQUK/REload combo and have been extremely impressed with that gloss and durability! How do you or anyone else here with experience in both, feel the Gtechniq C1 and EXO compare to the CQUK/reload in shine and durability? Noticeable difference? Do you use the same microfiber suede to put on/remove like the CQUK?

Thanks in advance!

Kamikaze....remember the name. The Japanese are taking coatings to a new level. Coatings are only in their infancy. An explosion from Asia is happening as we speak.
