HD cut and polish review

So, right now I'm in the middle of a black CTS coupe correction. I did start with FG400, But quickly switched to the HD. It is making the job so much easier, and the polish finishes as great as I have read about. I'm using a Flex 3401 with hydro tech pads. The only thing I need to get over, is I can't remove 100% of the defects. And that kind of bothers me. Can someone tell me if the 3403 would make this a lot faster, or just a little faster. Thanks for reading
 
If the FG-400 is removing the defects I'd stick with it.
When something works for me I stick with it.
The FG-400 cuts very well, I just recently started using the Menzerna.

Are you having issues in using the FG-400?
 
I would consider using a rotary for the first step.

Just to clarify, this is about tools and not polishes. Correct? You're asking if the 3403, which is a rotary, would be faster than your 3401.
 
Yes I am asking that question about the 3403. But I am also mentioning how impressed I am with the HD products. No issues with FG400. It's just nut cutting fast enough. I am 5 1/2 hours into the car and still have half the hood a front fender and door to cut/polish. I am not able to get the deeper RIDs I think I should be getting. I have also at times used a hybrid wool pad.
 
Caddy's have hard clear usually. I would suggest getting a black Tuf Buff wool pad. They finish down very well if you use them properly. They are my go-to for correction and usually knock out everything I need them to. They work great with the 3403.

I meant 3401
 
Will those pads help me cut faster? Without stepping into a rotary.

Yes, absolutely!! Check out my Show & Shines as I use the 3401 + TB + M105 to get extraordinary results. If you work it well, it can finish down amazingly well too, so your polishing step is spent making the paint pop and not correcting compounding haze.
