ok I have these two in my stash and Im debating between the two I am going to be using a GG D/A and a polishing pad. I had chemical guys v36 but lost it during a recent move :( I love how long you can work their product in. Also I've never tried working a polish until it dissapears always scared of marring. So my choices are, meg ultimate polish or Menzerna ff3000. I feel like the ultimate polish would be less abrasive idk though if you do feel free to chime in. I have ultimate compound but my paint is pretty good polish should be enough for today's adventure :)

Ultimate Polish finishes better if your intention is jewelling.

Ultimate polish finishes better than 205? Have you tried both?

Yes, 205 has slightly more cut but UP has loads of oils which deepen and darken paint. I also use Menz SF4000 but it doesnt darken like UP either.

Menzerna is diminishing and Meg's are non diminishing.

Is ultimate polish your favorite light polish?

It was my first light polish then I started using Menz SF4000 DAT, so last week I was doing a Merc ML and did a 50/50 with UP/4000 and under fluorescent lighting couldn't tell much of a difference with the two sides seperated by blue detailers tape. The next day when I removed the tape I saw three shades, the 4000 bright shine, the dull taped side and the darkened wet shine of UP. I have since been using it instead of my glazes as it cleans better and fills better with a much deeper shine. Sometimes we overlook our older products only to come back to it and realise its certainly worth having on the shelf.

I take it, you don't do an IPA/Eraser wipe down after polishing with Ultimate Polish, since you like the filling abilities?

up will jewel better so since my car is black thats the one to use? will it work better than sf4500 I heard that stuffs amazing

3d HD absolutely the best polish I have ever used. I used it on a 12 hr CTS coupe detail last week. You will thank me in the morning, and even leave me cab fare.

I have Menzerna 3000,4500, Meg's 205, and HD polish. I like HD the best so far. But still have a need for the others.

wow must be good You take it over 4500 maybe ill order that now then

To be honest, once the paint is corrected, i like a polish to give clarity to the paint i just "jacked up" during the correction process. I like HD the most because it is so user friendly without the oils of 4500

How long do these oils last on the paint? Thought it generally isn't long.

heres some shots of car after I polished with GG D/A blue polishing pad menzerna ff3000 then chemical guys GG then chemical guys JetSeal and topped with dodo supernatural. even though it was already covered in pollen by the time I grabbed my phone and its not the best camera to show the results im still Not impressed with the menzerna going to try the 3d hd polish next time.
