Hi all you Geeks. As stated in the title, This is my fishing thread where I'll occasionally post photos of photo worthy catches. I've just recently obtained my PA fishing license and mostly fish the mighty Susquehanna river but do venture off into some of it's tributary streams from time to time.
So far we've had good luck night fishing in Harrisburg for channel cats. Here are a few photos of the many cats we've caught so far. Feel free to post photos of your own big catches as we all love a fish story with photos to prove it.
Just to note...my phone doesn't have a flash so some of these photos are pretty dark. I've tossed my point and shoot digital camera in the fishing bag though so I'll be getting some brighter photos into the future. Enjoy...TD
I caught this big cat last Friday night, about 50 minutes before the moon rise in calm waters, river stage approx. 3ft. It's the biggest fish I've caught in 20 years here in the Susquehanna.
I caught this one 2 weeks ago, although my friend and neighbor Tony has the fish and is trying to take credit for the catch.
This one Tony did actually catch, about an hour later.
A whole bunch of us are supposed to go night fishing tomorrow night so wish me luck. Hopefully I'll have some more photos to share. I plan on doing lots of fishing this year, perhaps even get in some Bass fishing too.
