I completed my 3rd detail this past weekend on a 08 Lexus GX470. Unfortunately I didn't get any good shots of the before but this Lexus was a swirled out mess with alot of water spots all around. According to the owner, the SUV has only seen a drive thru car wash once a month in the past 2 years. The drying process was the drive home.

Total time: 15 hours. I wasted alot of time on the hood. After starting a thread I was told it was a possible clear coat failure/fracture.

Nice work on black, I take it you like the 3D product....

Great job! Hd speed just keeps wowing me.

So you used both Adapt & Speed? Doesn't Speed alone do scratch and swirl removal plus polish?
It is a all in one but this car was bad. I tried the speed by it self and it worked good but after using the adapt and speed as a 2nd step I noticed the difference.

Hmmm... that is really good to know. I used Speed on my 8 yr old daily driver w/ 132K on her, and it came out great. But I think I'll add adapt to my wish list.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, Adapt has a bit more abrasives too it than speed alone.

Great info, great job too! Thanks!

I just can't get Adapt to work for me at all. Way too hard to remove.

Mark can you elaborate on the technique, and what you did to fix it? I'm interested in giving this a shot. Pads, Pressure, rotary or dual?

That is a technique issue. Use it strictly as described and it works great. I had this issue as well.
I have been, from the bottle and all of David Ferrini's (I think that's his names) tips on Autopia. I want this stuff to work.

What were you doing wrong before?

Two things, working in too long of sections, and applying too much pressure during the last pass. It seems letting up your pressure/speed on the last pass breaks down the Polish better and causes it not to 'cling' near as bad.
