Review - NEW BLACKFIRE All-In-One Trim & Tire Protectant

Amazing review Mike! Thanks for taking time to write this.

The concept of this product is a great idea!!!

I agree that there's just no way to clean the tires without dragging the hose or some type of sprayer when doing rinseless/waterless to the paint. An AIO that cleans, shines and protects tires and rubber surfaces?! SIGN ME UP!!!

Thanks for providing some guidance on the proper way to use this product. I was already thinking of using a foam applicator pad for this product but I'm thankful I read your product direction of using a MF or terrycloth applicator and scrub the surface with a little passion.

Great job Nick & PBMG! I'm sure this product will be a home run.

Maybe true for trim, but for tires I've been using Mothers Black to Black in the bottle (not can) no water or hose needed. It works fantastic, and makes my rinse-less process closer to flawless. With that said I'm definitely going to be ordering this. If it can clean as well as the Mothers and works on trim it will be a go-to for me.

I have to believe Mothers will clean better. I often just reapply the same dressing during a maintenance wash and it can hide tire brown, etc anyway.

Even when I am doing rinseless, I have 3 choices:
1. Strip and dress with Mothers then tire dressing of choice
2. Clean/dress with Poorboy's Bold n Bright. Blackfire is now another choice and like to see if it is more durable
3. Redress with the same dressing

I know we shouldn't/don't use tire dressing on rubber floor mats. Would that still hold true with this new product?

Have you guys never tried Mother's rinseless tire cleaner? It's not difficult at all and I've used it to coat tires during the winter when no hose was available.

I sure have, and it works great. The main reason I wash my car using the rinseless method is time constraints. Having a product (All-In-One Trim & Tire Protectant) that cleans AND shines the tires in one step saves me a ton of time. Plus, if I'm concerned about deep cleaning my tires (which you should do every once in a while), I'll wash the car the conventional way and use DP Tire Cleaner & Restorer.

Simply put, I have zero interest getting on my hands and knees and going over my tires twice (cleaner and then protectant) when I perform a rinseless wash. BLACKFIRE saves time and effort.

When will samples be available.???

I have purchased alot of products they do not live up to my standards,
and end up dumping.

No samples will be available of this product, at least for now. You'll just have to trust myself, Mike Phillips and the fact that it's another quality product from PBMG.

I tend to err on the side of caution and say NO. You can try it for yourself, but I don't recommend it.

I love the Mother's rinseless, but I am all over this product at some point. Talk about a time saver!

Sounds good!

Does this product buff easily off paint if you get some on it while using?

I tested that today on very fresh BFWD, buffs off very easily if you have any overpay or a smear.

My standards are probably about as high as anyone that doesn't like to wast time, money or energy and I like this product.

When it comes to tires I really only like to apply coatings. Here's the deal though.... sometimes it's not practical due to the junk someone has already applied to their tires. So for car detailing projects where it's just impractical to scrub a tire to surgical cleanliness this is my go-to product.

In fact, ever since Nick brought me a sample it's all we used on tires when it was impractical to coat the tires.

Here's an example.... the paint on this car was so hacked-up it was ridiculous. After correcting the paint now the tires stood out as being flat out UGLY. The wheels were okay after a quick wipe but the tires took away from all the beauty we created with the paint.

So I think it was Frank, one of my regular Thursday night guys, that took the new BLACKFIRE All-In-One Trim & Tire Dressing to the tires on this car and fixed the problem.

I was going to use some of the before and after pictures of the wheels and tires from this 2002 Panoz Esperante for this review but I my focus wasn't on wheels and tires when I was taking pictures of the car it was on the hack-up paint... so I didn't really have any GREAT before and after shots of the tires.

Even so... I'm here to tell you this new one-step tire cleaner and dressing cleaned the ugly brown tires and restored a deep, dark black sheen that gave this product the finishing touch it needed so we could stick a fork in it and call it done.

Before
Focus in on the front driver's side tire you can see it's flat out ugly with that brown discoloration called blooming.

For the upcoming Detailing Boot Camp Class in July I have 2 Black Corvettes and 1 Black SSR coming to the class and this will be the product we use for doing Cosmetic Engine Detailing on these three vehicles.

Tires? Have to wait till the cars arrive and see what's on them. If they already have dressings then we'll use this product. If not then we may coat them. Have to wait and see what's practical and what's not.

:)

This product simply amazed me! Gave the look on my tires i was looking for. And dry to the touch. No sling.

This one is well worth it. If you're ever in SE MI, I'll hook you up with some.

Before you dump them, let me know, I'll pick hem up from you. I drive through mid-MI when going to Alpena every now and then.
