Show us your pet.

I could totally see that making sense in their heads. And of course it would be built into their natural instincts so they may not really have much of a say in their actions there, which would explain why we as humans find it somewhat annoying…

I dunno about you, but I find it just a tad bit annoying when my cat had been enjoying his little hammock that I bought him until 1 day he decided he’s going to avoid it at all costs like it had the Covid or something.lol.

Or they’ll find a random box outside in the patio, but the moment you decide to do them a favor and vacuum out the spider webs for them they’ll no longer use it. Cats are dorks. Lol

Maybe you can move the hammock, then it would be like a new spot.

Our latest fosters. Just need to gain some weight. They remind us of our current cat when she was a kitty.

Groot (the big cat) not quite sure of the little one. She eventually tolerates them.

While cleaning out my car, I took the floormatt out and set it in the backyard because I was going to scrub it clean…

I come back and who do I find? 1 of the usual suspects found himself a new spot. Lol.

The neighbors are dog sitting for the week. They seemed ok on either side of the fence so we let Penny over. Seems to be going well.

Big dummy won’t lay in the shade.
Has to be right next to my wife as she sun bathes.

My cat’s the complete opposite. All he does is lay in the shade. Lol.

My Beagle was the same way. Would never lay down, instead he'd be panting like crazy walking around the yard with his nose on the ground doing Beagle things.

Caught these two sharing a nap spot. The dog is 2, no clue how old the cat is. He entered my sisters condo in 2006ish, tried finding the owner for weeks and nobody would claim him. Not chipped or anything but front paws were declawed and he had a pink collar, so obviously someone’s pet. Been with me since then. Any chance he gets you can find him on my screened in deck, the hotter the weather, the better for him.

Mid 80s and humid. He loves it outside when it’s like that.

After a hard day of laying on the couch, it’s time to relax and lay on the couch..

This beautiful boy went missing last week. He is one of my gardening clients dogs, he took off after a rabbit when walking along a bush track, yanking the lead out of her hands. Despite best efforts they could not get him to come back or locate him. I'm pretty upset about it as I tend to bond with the dogs while working away in the garden. This guy was just the happiest and loving dog you could ever meet.

I hope he finds his way home, or at least finds his way to someone who'll look after him. I didn't want to hit "like" on your post, it didn't feel like the right sentiment.

Where I go to the golf driving range, they have 2 retrievers that are allowed to wander wherever they want. The youngest always follows me and sits watching me, the treats in my pocket help that I think. Occasionally they take off across the middle of the range chasing kangaroos.

Here's a pic of Buster today, hogging the old sofa I have in the garage. View attachment 74275
