The owner of this vehicle contacted me while wait to take delivery. He was looking to have the vehicle properly protected from the start. He was also worried about keeping the light colored interior clean so we decided to use CQuartz Leather to keep the seats, door panel and dash protected. For the exterior we used CQuartz Finest on the paint and wheels, CQuartz Fly By Forte on the glass and CQuartz DLUX on the calipers. The car was picked up unprepped by the dealer.

Here is how the car arrived. He had the car for two days before bringing it to me, and it had rained one of those days.

To start the process I put the car up on the lift to remove the wheels

Some minor dirt built up on the passenger side fender and rocker

Spotting on the front from rain the previous day

Wash & Decon Process
DSC_0567.jpg

After pulling the wheels I proceeded to start the foam pre-soak

DSC_0572.jpg

The wheel wells, brakes and suspension components were then thoroughly cleaned

DSC_0573.jpg

Some sort of yellow foam or glue which were in quite a few areas on the car

DSC_0575.jpg

This was then cleaned up

DSC_0586.jpg

Once the wheel wells were finished up the 2 bucket method wash was started.

I followed up the 2 BM wash with a chemical decon using IronX. and yet another wash.

Polishing Process
DSC_0590.jpg

After finishing up the wash and decon the wheels were put back on and the car wash pulled into the garage and placed back on the lift for the remainder of the service.

DSC_0595.jpg

We then proceeded to go over the car and find any flaws in the paint. This was located on the driver side fender.

DSC_0596.jpg

A slight scratch on the driver side of the hood.

DSC_0597.jpg

Some scuff marks on the driver side fender

DSC_0598.jpg

More scuff marks on the driver side

DSC_0599.jpg

This scratch/scuff was on the trunk lid.

The only area on the car that had quite a bit of swirling was on the rockers panels on both sides.

Wheel Clean Up
DSC_0619.jpg

After finishing up the polishing process I then started on the wheels. The brakes on this car give off a lot of brake dust as can be seen in this picture.

DSC_0624.jpg

The barrels of the wheels and back of the tires were thoroughly cleaned.

DSC_0626.jpg

After being cleaned with Megs APC and Tuf-Shine tire cleaner.

DSC_0630.jpg

The front of the wheel then received the same treatment.

DSC_0637.jpg

Once the wheels were cleaned I moved onto cleaning the wheel wells

Coating Application
DSC_0646.jpg

The car was then thoroughly wiped down with Eraser to prepare the surface for the coating

DSC_0649.jpg

After finishing up the application of Finest on the body, I then applied 2 coats on the wheels via airbrush.

DSC_0654.jpg

While I was applying the coating on the wheels the rest of the car was being cured by the IR lamp.

Once the coating was cured on the paint 3 layers of Forte were applied on the windshield and 1 coat on the remaining glass and left to sit overnight. The car was pulled out the following morning to inspect.

Engine Bay Cleaning

The engine compartment received a quick wipe down as it was already pretty clean.

New car prep done right the first time with premium products, no low quality dealership prep and products.

Absolutely beautiful work!

Sidenote: those QuickJacks are awesome, where did you get them?

WOW! Amazing job man! Your work truly shows the details in detailing hehehe!

That color is beautiful and you made it look even better!

I actually ordered them from Autozone when they were running a 20% off sale. They certainly make doing work a lot easier then using a jack and jackstands which I have always hated using.

Great work. That is one beautiful car and you did a great job of improving the look.

Walter

Truly above and beyond the call with results that show it.

Is that the BL-5000?

Is that the BL-5000?

Yes it is the BL-5000. It has worked great so far in the month or so I have had it. This was the first customer car I have used it on as I wanted to test it out on our personal cars before really using it on a clients car. Certainly made the job a lot easier.

First off incredible work OP

I have this exact same color on my M4 and with the 19" black and Silver Wheels.. You did a Great Job and you are right ... pictures still don't do this color Justice.

Quick Question for you.. how do you think the. Cquartz Leather treatment came out?

I have just done a light cleaning on my leather with Polish Angel BellaClean Leather Cleaner as it keeps the Matte Finish and tactile feel that the cars leather comes with.. Not shiny and not slippery..

Does the Cquartz Leather coating do and feel the same???

Was actually hoping to pull the trigger on some today along with the FlybyForte!

But I coated mine with the Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Surface Coating and did a follow up treatment with the Diamond Coating Booster.. My Yas Blue looks Like Glass. :props:

WOW! Amazing work. You a bad ass attention to detail.. how many hours did it take you?

I thought the CQuartz Leather came out really nice. It really didn't change the feel of the leather that I had noticed, but the owner has a young child and they wear dark jeans a lot and he was worried about jean transfer. This should make that easy to clean up. I do love the interior on these cars though. The seats were very nice.

Thanks, I would say I had roughly 15-16 hours in this. I take my time when I am doing things as there is no need to rush, as that is when mistakes happen.

Also what polish did you use and what Pad(s)?

I used Hyper polish on white LC flat pads with my Rupes. This cleaned up the finish quite nicely and I find myself using Hyper Polish a lot lately.

You have any pics of your M4?

I was supposed to have another 2012 Jet Black M3 this week but he had to reschedule to next month.
