Do you incorporate a 1" Boar's Hair Brush

Hello friends,

I recently ordered a second 1" Boar's Hair Brush. I find them extremely soft, especially when wet (not to mention have always been paint safe). The reason I ordered a second ia because I want to have one to use constantly for exterior washes. Quite honestly, the front of my TSX is annoying and sometimes concerning because of the grill for both the engine compartment and air intake (I think; I know next to nothing about cars other than detailing).

I also wanted to more efficiently clean my emblems.


My question is, do any of you use a small brush for your routine washes? I'm talking about traditional, not rinseless.

Since I got one, I have been using it on every wheel!!!!!! I have just the one so I dont use it on emblems but wish I had a second for that.

I've been using the Lug Nut/1" Detail Brush.

I've found out that I'll be needing a couple of these more than I thought. I think they'd be great on the interior to get into those hard to reach spots. I commonly find myself trying to dig into space with my hands that I cannot reach, and well, you guessed it.. It doesn't turn out so nicely. I, too, contemplated buying a couple of these to try out.

I've been using the Lug Nut/1" Detail Brush.

These are the 1" 'brushes I use and we use in the training garage.

Because I really like the Wheel Woolies Boar's Hair Wheel Brush for cleaning wheels I'm going to bring the Wheel Woolie's 1" Detail Brush into our arsenal also.

Besides being great for cleaning all kinds of things outside of the car... these 1" brushes also work great for cosmetic engine detailing.

Example: All the cleaning done to this engine compartment was done using these two tools plus a few microfiber towels to wipe off any excess product.
