Removing wax

Ok I bought a brand new Acura RDX, as soon as I got it I put a coat of MEGUIARS gold carnuba wax on it.

Now that I found this site and learned some, I did a plastic bag test and the paint is rough. I think I want to clay it and re seal with meguiars ultimate wax.

Will the clay remove the old wax or do I need to use some type of cleaner? Will simple green remove it?

From my experience - claying should be sufficient to remove that wax. If it was a coating, as opposed to a sealant, there might be additional steps which would be required.

Here's the steps that I'd now undertake
for the immediate care of your vehicle:

-Wash
-IronX...
(or similar product)
-Clay...
(you've already done "The Baggie Test")
-Inspect the paint...
(with a "swirl-finder" type of light)
-Polish...
I always, at the very least, use a mild
abrasive polish after claying...
Meguiar's M205 is one such polish.
-Wax or Sealant...BTW: Meguiar's ULW is
considered a Sealant.

Thanks, I'm a little afraid to polish a new car lol. I have a bottle of Meguiars #3 that I found on the shelf, will that be too mild?

•M03 may just be too mild to remove any
existing paint blemishes, or any newly
inflicted ones from the claying process.
-Perform a "test spot" with it first.

•No need to be afraid to use a mild
polish, like M205, on a new vehicle.
-It will:
a.) remove any Waxes that are remaining
from the wash and decontamination processes.
b.) remove most, if not all, Clay marring (blemishes).

#3 is only as abrasive as the material used to apply it.

M03 contains its very own Meguiar's
"Trade Secret-version" of Calcined Kaolin:
(CAS# 92704-41-1...at a percentage rate
of 7-13%, by weight).

With that fact in mind:
Some people will often take into consideration that
calcined kaolin can also be used as an abrasive material.
