Waterless wash experiment

I bought meguiars d115 and diluted it 12:1 worked really well for me and i was sitting there thinking that its basically a wash and wax suspended in water, so one day i mixed d114 and d156 together at 1:1:128 ratio with water shook really well and it performed the same if not better than the d115, I'm not sure about if I'm taking away the effectiveness of the 156 as 114 is a cleaner and it mite be affecting the ablity of d156 to do its job but by cost you get 128 gallons of waterless wash and wax for around 70 dollars
 
Glad you liked what your D114/D156/Water
mixture "left behind" (having a similarity to D115).

However:
I prefer my D114 "not to leave anything behind":
nothing that'll interfere with the vehicle's LSP.

With that in mind:
I believe I'll forgo your concoction.

I was debating between D114 and D115 (not both) and decided to go with D114. I figure most of the time I will be correcting the paint or following up with a wax or sealant of some sort anyways, so I don't really need the wax from D115. I haven't received it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
 
The gloss left behind by D115 is excellent.
However i prefer D114 making the paint look sparking new :D

yes, i started mixing the d114 and d156 together really good before adding the water

i will say that it doesn't work as well as washing the car in d114 and following up with 156 wax but it works just as well as d115

each product is different but I'm just putting out there that you can you buy 114 and 156 use them separately for each of there applications or mix them together to get a 115 all in one and save some money it was an experiment
it doesn't work as well and using 114 then following with 156 but i works just as good as 115 I'm just not sure if I'm affecting the 156 mixing it with 114

115 at 20:1 if that for 70
d114 plus d156 1:1:128 for 70

you can use them as separate products until you want to use them as a wash and wax it was just an experiment and really I'm not sure if the 114 is gonna adversely affect the 156 being mixed together i just thought that 115 is basically these 2 products mixed together anyways but I'm sure there was a lot of tweaking to the formula

thats really all i do these days is d114 a car then d156 i don't charge much and pump cars i try to upsell higher end waxes polishes and full details clay bars and the like but the average person really just want a clean car that shines and a vacuum for around 25 dollars
 
I tried this last night , mixed the two products and it works great. Thanks for the tip
 
What is the point of mixing two similar products. Is it cost? Is it different end shine. Would not one comprimise the other? I don' t see the point.
