Was curious if an old bottle of cquartz I had was going to work, it had been opened and used a year ago but I had some left so thought I'd try what was left on the top of my car. So far so good, this is about 6 months after I had applied it.

I would classify that as a "pleasant surprise" that it still worked so well after being opened for that long.

How long does the stuff usually last after being opened?

Iirc, 2 year shelf life unopened. 1 year once opened. But if it was stored in a climate controlled area, I imagine it will last a tad longer.
