I have Ultima and Optimum (second to last version).

I've yet to use the Ultima...haven't used all the Optimum yet.

With a good wash, decontaminate chemically and mechanically...

I have a question for those who have tried all the WOWA products PBMG sells:

Who makes the longest lasting WOWA product provided the technique above is used?

Ultima would be my choice.

Forgot about Blackfire Crystal Seal.

Anyone know who was the first to come out with WOWA?
It has been said that Ultima pioneered
the concept of the:
Wipe-On, Walk Away™ (notice the trademark)...
as it applies to automotive sealants.

Gloss-Coat is so easy to apply i'd almost consider it WOWA and i'd confidently put it up against anything else in the WOWA category in terms of durability.

Ultima would be my choice.

Forgot about Blackfire Crystal Seal.

Is that a guess? A fact? What?

I favor certain brands too, but in this instance I am looking for at least some evidence and/or proof via some testing and/or reviews. Something with a little substance, if you will.

That's interesting. I was always under the impression it was Z-CS.
Seems like it came out so long ago.

I suppose I was thinking about spray type (spray on an applicator) WOWA products and...

...after taking a short peek at the Pinnacle Black Label products I'm going to have to throw these into the mix as WOWA products since I didn't see any mention of having to wipe them off...even if they call it a coating instead of a sealant.

Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Surface Coating, paint coating, nano glass paint coating

Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating

These quite possibly last the longest, if they can really be considered WOWA products, and they certainly cost much more.

Another thing I am considering is the application time and as I said before, longevity as well as cost. These may be the PBMG longevity winners...but I'd consider other options also.

I have used all above, initially tried the Ultima and Opti-Seal few years back. I have/had full size pickups with caps and suv's and would use them as hold me overs on the hard to reach roofs when time or weather wasn't on my side. IMHO the Ultima held its gloss more but both would sheet and protect from water spots (roof) equally but the Opti Seal was better for bird droppings, I'd get 2 months out of each with no spray wax topping.
Now if you include the coatings then I prefer Gloss Coat over the Black Label. Last winter I coated one side of my Durango ( driver/passenger side from hood to hatch),followed manufacturing directions on each and for me the Gloss Coat came out 5 months later the same as day 1. Black Label was harder to clean and sheeting really slowed down, this was v1 btw.

Thanks Bob. Thats what I thought

It was the Zaino that came out first in February 2007, I believe that Opti-Seal was second, with Ultima being last, however the Ultima was in a public beta-test program as Red Dot 49 disguised as a conventional sealant from late 2006 IIRC.

I also recall it was Anthony Orosco who coined the WOWA phrase and acronym, as he was the alpha-tester and inspiration for the Optimum product.

Anthony was also doing something mostly unheard of with Opti-Coat...spraying it on and he may have been the first to do that as well.

You asked for those who have tried the products (WOWA) I would not have replied if I didn't use it and have 1st hand experience with the product. I did 9 coats of UPGP and Opti Seal and UPGP was the winner. Of course it's MO and others may not agree.

I used Blackfire Crystal Seal for a year on two cars and both were good sealants.

I have used a few.

OOS - 2 years ago
UPGP - Solvent based version not the new water based
BFCS - Still have
WGDGLS - Still Have

I liked the Ultima but the new water based formula is not getting the best user feedback. OOS was okay. IMO the ultima was better. BFCS & WGDGLS are both updated, better looking, longer lasting versions of UPGP in my use and opinion. The WGDGLS is supposed to last slightly longer than BFCS but they are equal IMO.

That's fine.:xyxthumbs:

I am curious why a couple of other products aren't mentioned.

Prima Hydro Max is a product I spray on, wipe it in until it disappears, and walk away. I use it on everything exterior except tires. No streaking at all. I do the entire exterior in about 12 minutes. Label even says "No Buffing Required". Package says it lasts up to 5 months. I always reapply at about 3 months, just because it's so easy.

Optimum Car Wax. Same thing same story. Except I have to be sure the car is not hot or warm or it gets a bit streaky. Sometimes minor streaks on windows, but they buff out easy once you see them. Label says it lasts up to 5 months. I reapply at about 3 months because it is so easy.

In fact, I've begun to do one half of my car in HM and the other side in OCW. I can't see much difference except the OCW probably has a deeper gloss to my eye.

These are so easy I feel like I am cheating.

I have not tried the Opti Seal, UPGP, Crystal Seal, or others mentioned.

I think you have your answer right there, WOWA sealants are not the same as wipe on, wipe in products like you mentioned (spray waxes).

PS Did I just coin a new acronym? WOWI?

Good one Setec. :props:
