Aloha!

Thank you Nanoskin and Carpro for making awesome decon products. I'm seeking ways to decon faster by combining steps (if possible or if ever done).

Could I IronX Snow Soap and Nanoskin Wash Mitt simultaneously?

Iron-X Soap never seems to "bleed" as much as just using dedicated Iron-X. In theory, you could wash, rinse, spray with Iron-X, and then begin claying while the Iron-X is still dwelling on the paint. It would smell horrible the entire time though...

For heavy decon I like to use Iron-X to dissolve the majority of embedded iron particles first. I also take note of areas that are bleeding the most so I can focus on those areas with more aggressive clay. I wouldn't want to clay with the Iron-X (soap or spray) because the smell from ONR or Meg's Express Wash is one of the best parts of the decon process!

Thanks for the reply. So you're using traditional clay with ONR or Megs Express wash?

Depends on the car, what type of detail process we are doing, and the level of contamination. We have a bunch of decon products... traditional clay, synthetic mitts, towels, pads, sponges, etc.

I have found that the synthetic products work faster than traditional clay; however, they appear to cause significantly more marring. If we are polishing afterwards then marring doesn't matter. On the other hand if the vehicle is brand new from the factory (not already ruined by the dealer) we will try to use mostly chemicals for decon and only mild clay which causes little to no marring.

The clay pads that you put on a DA polisher seem to be the fastest way to decon a vehicle. Sometimes it doesn't always get the vehicle 100% contamination free so we still use traditional clay for hard to reach areas.
