Kevin, great review and comparison! I do have a question though, I didn't see any pre-treatment, when doing a RW do you do this?

Roger,

I typically don't pretreat with a waterless wash like UWW+ unless it's really dirty. This is typically in the winter after I've blasted everything off at the coin op and do the rinseless at home.
 
I tell you: there's some funky glossy magic in pv17.

There better be a lot of funky magic going on to get people to scrap their favorite rinse less for yet another new option.
 
The RW market is as competitive as the mid-sized car market, LOL!

You've said that in two posts now.

I'm sure that people will want to draw their own conclusions if they choose to try it out whenever (if ever) it hits the market. If people are satisfied with their rinseless washes, then there's a perfectly good reason to stick with what they know.

On the other hand, I'm sure that there are many who aren't married to any brand and many who will simply want to try it. They may like it. They may not. Hell, I may buy a gallon of it and wish that I hadn't down the road.

I don't want to start a flame war or suggest that I'm a fan boy, but I thought it was a pretty good product.

The point of the offer and the post was to evaluate a product prototype. AG seems to know the market pretty well, and I'm sure that market extends well beyond the membership of this forum.

Kudos to them if they think they can sell a product. Good on them if they succeed.

PS: I still think there is funky glossy magic in it. 😁

Yup!

With all this Frankendetailer mixing you discuss, I wonder if I should throw the rest of the Pv17 into my gallon of Frankendetailer (DG #931/Klasse).

I have to think that there is some sort of sealant or wax in this prototype. A hydrophobic coating similar to Hydrofoam or Bathe+ would be even better!

Hopefully someone who receives a sample of this will try it on a car that isn't coated with any LSP. That would be an interesting test IMHO.

I washed the cars this weekend. I didn't have enough Pv17 to do the job, so I used ONR Wash and Wax.

The bucket was similarly turbid when compared to the Pv17. But what I noticed was that even with the ONR W&W, which was slick when gliding the 840 GSM towels across the hood, it wasn't as slick as the Pv17 was. It's very subtle.
 
I applied the 2nd coat of this wax just now and I'm leaving it on the car for a couple hours and then I'll remove it. I applied Black Label 850 paint coating to the newly applied racing stripes as well.

I expect this product to come off just as easily, especially since its cool down in the garage and out of the sun. Looking forward to pulling out for work tomorrow for sure👈
