I recently returned from a trip to Ireland and wanted to share the experience with you all. I really had a great time and would like to go back. The country is very beautiful with smiling faces everywhere you go. Everyone seemed so eager to strike up a conversation.

What would a trip to Ireland be without a trip to the Guinness brewery?

Great photos! Thanks for sharing Mike! I can't over those keg pyramids in the old photos. Wow.

Has the brewery been a museum since they stopped producing beer in 1988?

Very cool, thanks for sharing

Thanks Scott. No problem.

Thanks Ian! My pleasure. That must have been a sight to see back in the day.

This was the storehouse which is converted to a museum.

Every drop of Draught Guinness (in the keg) that is Imported to the USA is brewed at St. James's Gate

Canned Draught Guinness is brewed in Canada

Great Photos

Did you notice how green the grass is there? Almost a surreal shade of green

How did your daughter like the brew?

My Dad and I toured the Bud brewery when I was seven and I drank as much as I could get since it was free.

Free beer always tastes better.Im the MAN

Looked like you had a blast Mike! Thanks for sharing my friend. And you have a beautiful family too buddy:)

Alright, I'm jealous.

A self proclaimed beer-nut I tour craft breweries here in CO any chance I get (no shortage of new ones opening almost daily)... but this exact tour is very much on my bucket list.

Cheers to you for a great post.

Oh wow. I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing.

I did notice that! I kept joking about it with my wife saying that the grass is neon green! lol. I couldn't believe it.

Hahaha. She wouldn't try it.

That's right. Free beer is the best.

:hungry:

Dylan, this is a must for any beer-nut. The taste right from the brewery is surreal. I have really been on a Guinness kick lately. I love the roasted taste of this beer.

Thank you good sir.

Sigh....To see a "perfect pint" makes my heart all a quiver (even if it's only 6AM).

Thanx for all the pics Mike!

Bill

Thanks for sharing that with us, Mike. I enjoy vicariously touring Europe through your experiences!

The beer tastes so different and so much better straight from the source. That is a great tour.

No problem Paul! I hope you enjoy my little adventures.

That's right! Such a creamy milky good taste. I couldn't get enough of it.

Thanks for the tour Mike. I would spend all my time there, when I wasn't touring distilleries.

No problem Walter.

Unfortunately we did not have the time to tour the Jameson distillery although we did drive past it. It was either Jameson or Guinness.

Your posts are making me want to go back..The Irish know how to have their fun.
