McGuair's Glass Cleaner Concentrate

...probably THE worst glass cleaner I've ever used. What am I doing wrong? It's diluted to spec and I've even tried to water it down further to prevent the streaking. But it just does not perform for me. Temperature and other working conditions don't seem to matter. What luck are you guys having and how do you dilute it?

On a side note...it'll take me 15 years to use this gallon with the recommended dilution ratio, LOL!

Sorry you're not having the same success with
D120 as I always have: it's probably one of the
best glass cleaners I've ever used.
BTW: I also dilute it according to Meguiar's
recommended specs.

^^^How True!!^^^

After I'm dead and gone...
There'll be plenty enough of my D120 stash
left over...for The Widow's new cabana/pool-boy
to keep every pane crystal clear for quite awhile!

OP: more often than not I find it's the towel I'm using or my technique that affects the streaking of glass. I have been using D120 since I started detailing and have never wanted to branch out because it's so effective and smells delicious!
 
Ive tried many glass cleaners and D120 is the absolute best ive ever tried. Are you using distilled water when mixing? I dont spray the glass I lightly dampen a dedicated glass microfiber with a few sprays and fold the microfiber into quarters. I use a fresh part of the rag on each portion of glass I clean and flip or refold the towel to a fresh portion for the next area.After im done cleaning the glass I go back over it with a fresh microfiber and buff the glass.Perfect results every time.
 
I don't spray onto glass either. Using the same microfiber towels I've been using forever; and yes, mine are also glass dedicated. Same towels and technique I've always used...don't know why it's not cooperating for me. Maybe I'll try to thin it down a bit more just to make sure. Oh yea, I do love the smell.
 
I found D120 a little difficult in the beginning as I had the same problems with streaking. What I found is that distilled water and extremely clean/virgin glass microfiber towels make all the difference in the world. I dilute 15:1.

Pics would help.... of the window before and after as well as those MF towels you use.
 
I have never heard of this brand, where is it sold so I can avoid it?

Well, I certainly woulnt say avoid it just because of my feedback. One bad experience doesn't make it a bad product. My dad, among others as seen here, swear by it, so it's most likely just me.

I hear yah but I've never heard of this brand, where do you get it, I'll try it and decide for myself

if the label says "McGuair's", that might be your problem.

did you get this from a street vendor in Chinatown?
 
Just curious, based off of some other posts, does this happen to be the product in question?

Been using this for a couple of years now. Awesome product ! Cheap too !!!

No real issues here with D120. It does seem a little more "grabby" than other glass cleaners I have used, but it does a very good job.

This is probably due to it being alcohol based.
