Wax Advice

I tried searching other threads but I may be even more confused. I'm a novice compared to many here but I do enjoy taking care of my car and my spouse's. I wax by hand and with the sale on this weekend it's time to make a purchase. I'm considering:
Pinnicle Soveran Paste Wax
Wolfgang Fuzion
Collonite 845
Pinnicle Black Label Synergy

It's to go over wolfgang sealant 3.0.

Cars are dark blue and white.

It seems like Collinite is a very good choice for our long winter in Calgary. Thoughts on a winter and/or other season wax? 1, 2 none?? Thanks for your help!

If you want a wax with good durability, Coli is hard to beat.

I have the Wolfgang Fuzion and its amazing to say the least, goes on like butter , doesn't whiten trim and looks fantastic.My personal summer wax. If $ isnt an issue id go for the Fuzion. For an excellent bargain wax id go with the Collinite Marquee De Elegance,my winter wax. Just be careful because it does whiten trim. It lasts longer and looks better than 845.

Pinnacle Souveran is a pure show car wax meaning that it sacrifices durability for ultimate gloss, depth, reflections, etc.

Wolfgang Fuzion is a hybrid wax that blends Carnauba wax and polymer paint protection to give you the features associated with each product.

Collinite 845 puts a maximum emphasis on durability as its main virtue.

PBL Synergy combines the same nano-glass ceramic particles found in PBL's line of Diamond Surface Coatings with carnauba wax.


If you are wanting the durability to get you through winter, I would put on another layer of WDGPS. For "other season" wax, #1 or #2 get my vote.

:iagree: Additionally, I think Collinite Waxes are a good product, however, they tend to ghost or haze when applied over a sealant. Another coat of sealant would be a good way to go. But if you are dead set on putting a wax over a sealant; then go straight for the Souveran Paste wax. You have already accomplished longevity by the sealant. Layering Souveran over the sealant it does not ghost and adds depth, wet look and gloss.

I will put on a sealant then top off with a wax and IMO that combo is the best. Fuzion and Synergy are hybrid waxes and IMO do not offer the wet look and depth as well as Souveran when layered over a sealant. Souveran is more of a pure carnauba wax. Both Fuzion and Synergy are excellent stand alone products. BTW, this is from my experience so I hope I gave you a little insight.
